KNP Korner

Hey friends, I just wanted to hop onto your awesome Klik & Play portal and give a holler. It's cool to see other people are dedicating websites to the finest development tool around.

I don't quite understand your usage of "trainwreck" since most everything I've played on your site is crazy awesome, but I'm sure you mean well and silly linguistics could never hold a good game down! You guys might want to check out some of the games on KNP Korner, my site for KNP user submissions: http://knpkorner.googlepages.com

But more to the point, I wanted to know if any of you would be interested in cross-promoting your amazing software creations on my website. You'll receive full credit, of course, and I didn't want to host anything without permission since my site is most definitely not a warehouse or some other kind of shady racket. If you have a submission to the KotMK or something else that you think needs extra exposure ( I'm personally gunning pretty hard for "Cats II"), just send me an e-mail at or post your requests in this thread.

Stay frosty, KNP Kadets!

Huh. That's certainly an

Huh. That's certainly an impressive collection of KnP titles, to say the least. But, yes, Trainwreck is an appropriate moniker for these games, both here and at your establishment. I don't know how brisk a business you do over at KnPK, but things are very cyclic here. Everybody starts to show up a few days before the KotMK, followed by a flurry of activity for two hours, followed by sporadic posts for the following two weeks, which is then followed by static and silence. You posted this right at the calm before the storm.

It's surprising that both of these places came to exist with such similar attitudes and philosophy. I do like it here a bit more, due to the realistic self-deprecation and use of the word rhinoceros. But there's another quality I like even more: the two hour rush.

I never really made that many trainwrecks back when I first came to grips with KnP, favoring instead a million tiny technical advancements and huge long-term projects that were never finished. The KotMK 2 hour game-jam has been a wonderful experience in forcing myself to violently counter perfectionist instincts and accept realistic goals in making a game.

But when I do finally release my greatest Klik Technology Advancement project, I'll probably send a copy your way, if for no other reason than to see if you've ever seen anything like it before.

KNP Korner got me interested

KNP Korner got me interested again in Klik stuff three or four months ago, partially because of the phrase "Klik N' Play is free as long as you consider yourself a student in the school of KNP"

I have a shooter in the works, gameplay in general is done but I need to make some levels for it. I'd be happy to send it your way when it's done.

Howdy from the DJ!

It's no problem, thanks for your comments! I'll need to find more ways to get word of the site out so submissions can roll in.

Also, thanks a bunch, QRLeon! Your Star Wars game is one of the most popular files on our site! I had a great time blasting away on it.

And I don't mean to sound annoying by repeating myself, but does anyone else feel like submitting some of the games you've already posted here? There's some fantastic stuff that I wouldn't mind giving an extra push of exposure.

We also have a new game submission, if anyone is curious:

I sent in a crappy Axelay spoof, but didn't notice that the bar had been raised.

It will take some deep soul searching to realize a competitive product...
