FIVE GLORIOUS YEARS OF GAMES: Klik of the Month Klub #60

Can you believe we have been making terrible 2-hour games for FIVE YEARS!? It's true! The very first pilot run of what would become the Klik of the Month Klub happened in June 2007. This stupid little jam has far surpassed my wildest expectations. Thank you all for making it amazing.
The Klik of the Month Klub meets right here on this very website on the third Saturday of every month at 4pm Pacific Time (taking daylight savings into consideration) for a two hour Klik & Play Showdown. Everyone who participates gets two hours to create something from scratch in Klik & Play. Abusing the stock objects is encouraged. If you really loathe Klik & Play you can use whatever game development platform you want. Two hours is a pretty tight time limit, though, so choose wisely!
Klik & Play is absolutely free to download, and learning it takes minutes, so everyone can get in on the action.

As great as that sounds, there's NO WAY I'm tackling The Long Rain anytime soon. I can barely find time for the three OTHER projects I'm juggling. I need to stop thinking out loud.

Jack-in-the-box, you say? I Don't recall that at all... that sounds great. I just re-read The Illustrated Man the other day and found that I'd forgotten how great some of those stories were. The Long Rain has always stuck with me though.

Oops, this is gonna be a really late submission it looks like.
About six levels left to make for my Jumper clone, then I need to make Easy and Hard versions of those levels in addition to the Normal difficulty. Then add in a mechanism that records death locations and throws them into a file and then I should be done, I guess.
In memoriam
In honor of Ray Bradbury, I'm going to attempt an adaptation of his short story The Long Rain. In order to do the material justice, I'm starting tonight instead of waiting.
A suggestion.
To anybody stuck for ideas; why not consider exploring some Ray Bradbury stories and giving them the Glorious Trainwreck treatment?
Does anyone remember that
Does anyone remember that one story of his, where this kid is completely isolated from the rest of the world, and his mom is grooming him to be his dad (who died a long time before the story began), and also she's kinda crazy?
I remember the very end of the story, where the kid finally gets out, and all the while he's yelling "I'm dead! I'm dead!" which freaks out a couple of cops. Does anyone remember the name of this story? Because I forgot it, and I'd really like to read it again.
Edit: Apparently it's called "Jack-in-the-Box". Welp, time to get to hunting!

I googled for "animated gif text" and came up with textanim! The font is called "Abfun" on the site, but I can't find any references to a font with that name on the larger internet. WhatTheFont suggests Roller World BTN as its closest match.

I have an idea for a similar trainwreck I could make for this event. And it won't have "jokey voice" or extremely bland "lolrandom" humor or ego inflation or spending half the game making fun of the fact that I rip off of other trainwreckers.
And this time, unlike KotMK #50, my creative juices are flowing, so I'll be able to construct a plot that doesn't revolve around something completely stupid like exaggerating spambot problems.
