This is a part of the great resurrection celebration. So what's the point of this??
RULES:

2. Or, maybe you should remake one of your older games?
3. Look back and see! Maybe there is one old game of yours, waiting for a sequel!
4. Anything else related to old games?
5. Ah okay, if you don't have anything like that on your mind, just make a really nice , fun and colorful game. don't forget to add good tunes!

markovlove360

markovlove360.png

A pretty deep improvement of my recent KOTMK entry, markovlove360 uses all the works sent into http://loveblender.com/ in 2004 to create a web community / computer /human collaboration tool, using markov chains for statistical textual analysis as the basis for computer-augmented lyrical composition.

Simply move the mouse to highlight the next word you want, and click to select. The most recent 2 words selected define what options are available for the next word; those options are the set of words that followed that word pair within the body of work from the blender, scaled by frequency (the more often a word followed a word pair, the larger its piece of the pie.)

"S" saves the current work to a text file in the same directory, "C" clears the page, and "R" sets a Random Robot to do the selection for you

RPG MAKER 2003 - THE NEXT WILLENNIUM OF GAME... PLUS THREE: The practice round

Mon, Feb 02 2015 10:00 PM
02/02/2015 - 23:00
02/10/2015 - 23:59
America/Chicago

EDIT NOTE: DUE TO THINGS, WE WILL NOW BE USING RPG MAKER 2003 INSTEAD OF RPG MAKER 2000!

This isn't as big of a deal as it might sound. The two programs are almost identical except that RPG Maker 2003 supports the usage of mp3s and has a revamped battle system. But the main reason for the change is that RPG Maker 2003 will run on Windows 8.

-----

Hey guys! Wasn't Heart Pounding TrainWreck Marathon by everythingstaken and FirecatFG pretty cool? I thought so too!

I want to do an event like that, but using the legendary and infamous RPG Maker 2000 2003. The idea is that participants will make a bunch of short games over the course of a month or so, and then we'll put them together into nice package.

BUT WAIT!

Since I don't think that a lot of people here use RM2K3, I thought it would be a good idea to have a week or so to get to know the program. I've been using it for almost 15 years now, so I'll be on-hand to answer any questions.

Here's what you need to get started:

RPG Maker 2003: This is the main program. There's a readme with info on how to fix any font problems that you might encounter.

Optional:

Here's a website with a bunch of custom assets!

---

Here's a series of basic tutorial videos to get you started. This guy's kind of an idiot. Maybe I'll figure out how to record my own tutorial later.

Have fun, and again, let me know if you have any questions or suggestions. I'm happy to answer whatever.

03/15/2008 - 18:00
US/Pacific

The Klik of the Month Klub meets right here on this very website on the third Saturday of every month at 4pm Pacific Time (taking daylight savings into consideration) for a two hour Klik & Play Showdown. Everyone who participates gets two hours to create something from scratch in Klik & Play. Abusing the stock objects is encouraged. If you really loathe Klik & Play you can use whatever game development platform you want. Two hours is a pretty tight time limit, though, so choose wisely!

Klik & Play is absolutely free to download, and learning it takes minutes, so everyone can get in on the action. Want to talk to your fellow Klikwreckers? Join us on IRC -- server irc.freenode.net, channel #glorioustrainwrecks. Join the mayhem!

Sign up below to get reminded by email the day before the klikkening begins!
