I hesitate to tell you that today I needlessly used up a couple sheets of paper trying to derive a general transformation from (x,y) coordinates to rotational coordinates. It sure made for an odd feeling. I'm in my 30s -- long out of school -- and couldn't remember the word for 'trigonometry.' I assume stubbornness kept me from trying to look it up. Or maybe I thought this would be a fun way to spend an early Saturday morning?
I did, however, remember that A squared plus B squared equals C squared, though Mr. P's theorem turned out to be a red herring (half a page worth of scribbles down the drain! You should be happy you're not made of paper, dear Diary, else I might have been tempted to scribble those notes in you).
What did the trick was punching in test cases into a calculator until I remembered how sine, cosine, tangent, and their variants work (ArcTangent I don't remember ever learning about, but it's brilliant!), and drawing up test cases until I realized what I was actually trying to do was to rotate the coordinate system through a certain angle (which would change over time based on position and velocity).
It turns out it works like this (for future reference, or in case you're interested, my bestest bookish friend):
Rotational Speed component = Sin(Angle-of-Motion - Position's-Angle-from-origin) * Speed-of-motion
Centripetal Speed component = Cos(Angle-of-Motion - Position's-Angle-from-origin) * Speed-of-motion
And that Angle-of-Motion is the ArcTan(vertical-speed-component/horizontal-speed-component)
And that Angle-from-origin is the ArcTan(vertical-position/horizontal-position)
Diary, am I proud of these accomplishments? Yes, of course. I only tell you this so you will love me more.
Yours, as always,
p.s. - Why no superscript and subscript tags? This entry could have been so much spiffier.
In the exciting new game Olympic Diving your chance to impress the crowd with all your hard work and training in this vertical sport has finally come. Twist and spin your body through the air and land perfectly for that much earned podium place.
So you want to make your own trainwrecks, huh? This portion of the wiki contains various resources that help you acquire the tools you need to create amazing non-masterpieces within minutes! If you're looking to get more out of the trainwrecking tool of your choice, there are guides for that, too! Regardless of your experience level, there is something here for you!
Behold! A new Justice Mustache Game that's not canon and i made in 3 hours- NEW JUSTICE MUSTACHE GAME YAAAAAAAAY!

You are the thief! Steal everything not nailed down! But watch out, the cops want to throw you into the slammer!
CGA Quest is my entry into the 11th Ludum Dare 48-hour programming competiton. The theme was "minimalist", so I went with a hideous 4-colour aesthetic and glorious 1-channel PC speaker sound. Overall, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I also used this incredible 48-hour time expanse (a dude can make 23 games in 48 hours, man!) as an excuse to give Game Maker a try, which was pretty positive overall. Game Maker and I, we'll be spending more time together in the future.
Anyway, I'm very interested in your feedback. Was it actually interesting figuring out what you had to do? Did the strict timing requirements drive you to quit in frustration? Isn't that ending a total letdown?
Disclaimer: Play the original Duck Fight first in order to fully appreciate this fan-made remix! The likelihood you will beat Stuck Fight is significantly lower if you are not familiar with the mechanics of Duck Fight!

Babbys first Klik game.
It's a simple coin collector, it only have 5 levels only 4 of which you actually play on.
It should only take under a minute to finish.
If it doesnt then contact your doctor because something is wrong with you.
I feel weird for having to revive this event, but I think it's the most appropriate place to post a Doom WAD. Inspired by Doom II's map23: Barrels 'o Fun, this is my map01's replacement: Barrels 'o Doom. The architeture itself isn't that beautiful, but it has lots and lots and lots and lots and lots 'o barrels. Try playing this with Brutal Doom for maximum fun if your machine is capable of handling all the fuzz.
Also, I made a tiny little MIDI track to fit the map's mood: CHAOS and destruction.
Tonight the Sun God is blood thirsty and violent sacrifices won't bring an end to his burning desires. Tonight the Sun God won't show mercy. Tonight, for Dinosaurs, is the CRÉPUSCULE FATAL* !!!
*dusk of doom
Contrôles : clike on the dinosaures to make le sacrifice!
This is the kind of games written in French, where Dinosaurs don't want the night to come, so they make dinosaur sacrifices to the Sun God in the hope he will stay up the sky, but SPOILER they can't really escape the inevitable hahaha END OF SPOILER.
Today is a very special day and I hope it will bring big changes in my life, I was nevertheless bored so I decided to make a game about the end of an era (would also be the beginning of a new one even if the game is adressing more the Crépuscule Fatal than the Lendemain qui chante).
Making this game was immensely fun. Only in the end it got really frustrating with all the KNP buggy malédiction falling on my head... so many bugs. I think I'll go to TGF very soon if I can import all the clipart libs.
