Buggie Above The Law

Shovelware titles and going thru BBS files were the only way I could find new games. A few titles I found were made in the Games Factory so that got me into programming Windows trainwrecks (I was a hard core QuickBasic programmer at the time).

I found this gem on a Cosmi shovelware title, 300 Arcade Games. I love trainwrecks like these! It always pushed me to do better... but at the same time made me a bit upset--if crappy games were being published like this, why couldn't I join the craze?? I had my dreams tho, as a 14 year old hammering out games on a 486, to be the best and greatest programmer EVAR!!! I still have that 486 and still make games on it, hehe :) I'm older now :P I just need to FINISH a game, aargh....

Anyway, this title caught my attention. It was created in good ol' Games Factory (which I use to make all my games). I want to know if anyone have played this game before or what? I like it so far, but I can't get past level 2. It's Nintendohard or I'm just bad at it. :P

Battlemons

Battlemons, the exciting 2 player fighting game for two people. I don't have anyone to play it against so tell me how it works out. Also I only had time to add one character.

Ben owns the largest manufacturer of gaskets for blenders and food processors in the Detroit area. He also makes games I guess.

Molywrecks and Friends 2013!

Fri, Jul 05 2013 11:59 PM
07/05/2013 - 23:59
Etc/GMT-7

What Would Joggydeux?

What if there was a game about an ancient civilization, but instead of controlling its people, you controlled the landscape? This idea led Peter Molyneux to create Populous, a title that would go on to influence gaming for years to come.

Now the year is 2013, and the video game industry is in a creative drought. We need new ideas to reinvigorate and reinvent video games as a medium. How? Molyjam, of course!

How?

Make a game based on a tweet! Take a page from Peter Molydeux, self-proclaimed doppelganger of Peter Molyneux, or from anyone else!

When?

Molyjam takes place during the weekend of July 5th - 7th. You'll get 48 hours to make your game. Note: Do NOT go by the Glorious Trainwrecks event time! Since Molyjam is a global event, the jam starts and ends on midnight in your own timezone! Don't forget that vital bit! Start jamming once your calendar hits the 6th, and stop when it's no longer the 7th on your end!

Where?

Molyjam will feature a number of physical locations worldwide. You can jam on site, or jam from home! And if you can't join your fellow jammers in person, remember that there's always virtual reality!

Our IRC is at #glorioustrainwrecks on irc.freenode.net.

A list of game development tools is here.

You can submit your game to Glorious Trainwrecks here, or the official Molyjam website once submissions open.

Official Molyjam website

(This event is not actually affiliated with Molyjam, this is just a virtual jam location for Molyjam)

Molyjam 2012?

Here are some entries made by trainwreckers for last year's Molyjam event:

"This Game Always Tells The Truth" - SpindleyQ

"There Is A Monster at the End of this Game" - Noyb (as part of a team)

"These Automatic Arms" - nobody

CAKE!!!

CakeScreenshot.png
Game File:

It's my sisters birthday this weekend and I mail ordered a present for her that won't make it in time... So instead I decided to make a game in 2 hours as an alternative ^^.

The game itself was finished in the allowed time, but the music took another small hour. Oh, and I used flash (sorry for that...)

Click on "CAKE" to begin, use the Arrow Keys to move Febe around. It's a combination between Pacman and one of those ice level things that you have to do in ice caves in Pokemon. Eating all the cakes will unlock all the locks and allow you to leave the level. Locks without a block can be pasted through and will turn into lockblocks when you go over them. I don't know why you leave blocks behind you, but otherwise the game is unplayable, so I guess that's the reason :P. Oh and my sister's called Febe (which is like Phoebe, but Dutch)

Press 'R' if you get stuck!

Hope you enjoy! :D
Also, cake.
