Ladies and gentlemen, i present you one of the most unbelievable earlier "trainwrecks" i made.
This is a horrible platformer full of triggering traps i made (and it has even waligie in it because fuck logic).
And yes, don't expect it to be made in cool MMF2, it's made in Game Maker 8.

To skip levels just press F12 if you fail a lot.

Oops, I broke password reset for like three and a half years

Hey, remember back in 2013 when I updated the password database to not use unsalted md5 for password hashing?

Wellll apparently that change broke password reset links with some regularity. (Occasionally a working password reset link would be sent out if you were persistent.) So if you've been trying to reset your password and it hasn't been working, try again! It should work every time now!

And remember: If you're having trouble logging in, or the site is broken for you in some way, please email me and let me know! I'm friendly and want to help and can definitely fix your problem!

Thanks to denson for the bug report that finally led me to track down and fix the issue.

GORY DETAILS:
I switched to using bcrypt for password hashing. But it turns out that the password reset link uses the password hashing function to generate its url, and bcrypted hashes can contain the "/" character. Which meant that if the hash happened to contain a "/", then during URL parsing only the part of the hash up to the first "/" would be checked, and of course it would decide that the hash didn't match and throw a cryptic error.

ARE YOU A BAD ENOUGH DUDE TO KLIK FOR A HUNDRED YEARS?

Oh, this is a KnP game so you need DOSBOX and Win3.1 unless you are currently running Win95, which is still cool.

Quakaphone

Game File:

This isn't a game, it's a (not very) musical toy, a sort of primitive sequencer. It's controlled by clicking on old player-made Quake II models that then sort of 'vogue' to the sequence they're playing. Not really sure why I made it; I found a big zip file full of these twenty year old models a while back and I've been playing around with them in various ways. This is the first thing I've released from that process of playful gamedev doodling. I thought it might amuse some of you. It amused me to make such a thing from models repurposed from a violent game; I like to imagine the characters moving on into more creative endeavours. Also it's worth admiring the skill that went into creating these models; I picked the ones I thought had the most interesting animations.

Left click to start or stop a sequence
Right click to change the sequence

running instructions: extract zip and then run draculoid.exe
if you've got one of those not-windows, install python and run main.py
edit options.ini for graphics purposes
highscores are stored in savegame.pickle
esc to close

babycastles friends: please take care to follow instructions on bcepistolary.pdf
the rest is up to you

the first comment below will probably be someone telling me it doesn't work
I'll fix whatever problems there are in the morning.
(you don't have to tell me the date on the pdf is wrong)

update: if the other download doesn't work, there's a file attached below that should work good. In that one, just run the exe.
Also, the full screen doesn't really work too good. I'll patch it if there's interest, but y'know.
