Liar's Dice II: Honesty Dice? A roll and move game by Scroungin' 4 Catsup 1+ players You need: - The game board - One pawn for each player - Any number of dice with any number of shapes, sizes, and sides RULES: After agreeing on turn order, all players place their pawns on the "start" space. At the beginning of your turn, pick up any number and combination of dice and roll them simultaneously. Rate how satisfying it was to roll the dice on a scale of 1 - 10, with 1 being not satisfying (or least satisfying) and 10 being very satisfying. Move your pawn a number of spaces equal to your declared level of satisfaction; play then continues to the player to your right. The first player to reach the "finish" space wins, and is declared "MOST SATISFIED." But be warned! Only a satisfaction rating equal to the exact number of spaces remaining can land you on the "finish" space - no lying! Trying to intentionally make a disappointing roll and succeeding is inherently satisfying, is it not? Tricky... REMEMBER: SATISFACTION WITH DICE ROLL LEAST <1 - 10> MOST When deciding how satisfying it was to roll the dice, consider... - how many dice did you roll? - how cumbersome or awkward was it to pick up that many dice at the same time? - how did the dice feel in your hand? - did you shake the dice before you rolled them? how was the sound? - what kind of surface did you roll the dice onto? how did it effect their rolling e.g. did they bounce around for a long time, roll a short distance and settle, or stop immediately? - were you worried that one or more of the dice would roll off of the surface you are playing on? - did one or more of the dice get lost? - if any dice rolled off of the surface you were playing on or got lost, did your back and/or knees hurt when you crouched down to look for them? did you step on one? did you bonk your head on the table when you got back up, if you are playing on a table? - did any dice knock any of the pawns over, or otherwise move them out of position? - from what height did you drop, or throw the dice? - did you hope to see a certain dice total? - how satisfying was it to roll dice this time compared to the previous time - even if the previous time was part of another game? - did you try to roll the dice in the exact same way you rolled them last time, and how did the outcome differ? - were you encouraged or instructed to roll a specific number of dice, or roll the dice in a specific type of way? if you rolled the dice that way, what happened? - how did your current dice roll (method, outcome) compare to the dice rolls of other people that you have witnessed? - did all of the dice land evenly i.e. flat, not leaning against a wall, box, cup etc.? - once the dice came to rest, was there any kind of noticeable numeric or symbolic pattern? - once the dice came to rest, was there any kind of noticeable shape that they took on as a whole? imagine a star constellation or saying what a cloud looks like - how anxious do you feel about this game coming to an end? how would it feel to win? to lose? AFFIRMATIONS - be true to yourself - look inward - follow your heart - don't deny what is inside ------------------------ I hope you enjoyed this game.
