Hey all, I finally wrote up some stuff about The Intracycle, my big ol' experimental physical game thing that was at Baby Castles. The itch link has a pretty serious description as well as some images (along with a ruleset!) which I encourage you to take a look at if you're interested. I won't bother copy/pasting that description here. Hopefully I will be able to get The Intracycle out into the real world some more soon. Let me know what you think of the idea!

A game improvised in about 10 minutes in front of a live audience at Babycastles, to demonstrate the playfulness and joy of Klik & Play.

You can play it in your browser but it's just gonna start crawling when the wizards start flying, so if you're on Windows, please download it. There's a 32-bit .exe included as well as the original Klik & Play version.

Important: I made this game while dressed as a Klik & Play wizard.

edit options.ini for graphics purposes
highscores are stored in savegame.pickle

update: if the other download doesn't work, there's a file attached below that should work good. In that one, just run the exe.
Also, the full screen doesn't really work too good. I'll patch it if there's interest, but y'know.

This version contains some small changes to make things work more smoothly in a gallery-type setting.
If needed, additional changes can be made upon request (message @sylviefluff on Twitter or just post here).

The game defaults to fullscreen.
On the title screen, "New Game" is selected by default instead of "Load Game" (but players can continue where the previous person left off if they want!)
The options menu is opened by holding Ctrl+O for three seconds rather than just pressing O, so that players are less likely to find it and mess around with it.

Either way, you need to prepare for any and everything they can possibly throw at you. Web searches turn up little, and you're drawing a blank. What can you do when the interview is tomorrow?

Hostile Interview virtually puts you in the same room as a powerful CEO who is hangry and late for another thing that was scheduled on top of your interview, because who are you to dictate their schedule? Take a seat as This boss throws everything they can at you until you either break or emerge more confident in your ability to answer weird and challenging questions.

Hostile Interview is a non-serious game about answering awful or weird questions from an angry interviewer. I made this after realizing that people sometimes find it hard to take a step back and question themselves objectively.

Sergio and I were talking about including a new Knytt tutorial for the Babycastles expo, and I remembered this old tutorial I was tooling around with. It's called Mummenschanz, and like the acting troupe it takes its name from, it tries to convey its message through a minimum of words. I'm not sure if I totally succeeded at it, but here it is anyway! (With music by Kinetic Law.)

You have incurred my fearsome wrath!

Nummer, supreme wizard

Cursed by the fearsome wrath of the supreme wizard Nummer to become immortal, you try to defy this annoyance by making yourself only able to die 80 more times. But the kicker is, you brought this on yourself, first by ruining her spaghetti dinner one time, and later mis-casting your spell to break out of her curse, reducing your immortality to being able to die only 80 times. To top it all off, you are on the way home and stuck in the Field Corridor, a dangerous zone. Your only help now is the fact that you can safely die 80 times, but keep in mind that it is only 80 times that you can die! If that wasn't bad enough, every time you do die, up to the limit of 80, your grasp of reality will be shaken dramatically by the withering curse of supreme wizard Nummer!

This is a text file explaining the rules of a physical version of my game, Scramble The Eggnog, originally designed to be presented at the Glorious Trainwrecks x Babycastles event. If you want to see what it's like for yourself at the event, please refrain from reading the rules ahead of time. If you can't attend, or wish to try out the game at your own gathering, please feel free to do so!!

I don't have the ability to playtest this myself, so if anybody sets it up, I'd love to hear how it goes!

Share The Eggnog is intended to be played with mostly strangers, but if you want to play it with people who already know each other, go ahead, it'll probably just be a different experience than intended.

This is a collaboration between me (Avery) and a good friend of mine (Wildcard). I introduced them to the wonders of KnP earlier last year and every single thing that came out from them experimenting was so amazing that I saw it urgent that we collaborated on creating a game together. A few months later and a bit of procrastinating later, and the result is this. This is easily the best thing I've ever helped create and it was a ton of fun doing it. I hope you love it just as much as I do.
