About the Game

"Ruff & Ravi Defeat the Plutonian Vampires". A new adventure and narrative collection, coming straight to your computer screen!

Ruff the dog, boyfriend to the famous Binky of the Binky series, gets to star in his own digital game, for the first* time! In it, you will guide him and his new friend Ravi the rat to save Pluto from failed comedian Dracula! Can you make it through 12 levels of easy to moderately complicated puzzles?

Meanwhile, in real life, watch Ruff the dog and Ravi the rat star in their own cinematic series of cutscenes! In them, you will watch Ruff and Ravi try to unravel the mysteries of Pluto, the rat planet, to defeat Dracula! Can they learn the mysteries of the Cookie of Power, before it's too late?

Only you could possibly figure out these puzzles and plot resolutions, by playing Ruff & Ravi Defeat the Plutonian Vampires...

Getting Started

Launch "Ruff and Ravi.exe" to begin playing.

The game automatically saves any changes to your settings, but level/cutscene progress is not saved. However, every level and cutscene is available from the start, from the "Scene Select" option available from the main menu. Have fun!

Linux Support

Ruff & Ravi has been completely playtested on Ubuntu using WINE!

A couple known issues are detailed here:

If you are using 64-bit Linux, and the game starts without any sound, you might be missing 32-bit libraries for your default sound device. As a common example, if your setup is PulseAudio on 64-bit Debian/Ubuntu, you can install 32-bit libraries using the apt-get utility: apt-get install libpulse0:i386

During playtesting, cutscenes have been occasionally found unresponsive. If this happens, you'll have to close the application and re-open it. However, you can go straight back to the cutscene using the "Scene Select" page.

A Fist Full of Flowers, a game by Hellojed for Hugs

A game created for the 2018 Glorious Trainwrecks "Klikmas" event for the user Hugs

They wanted a simple proc gen explore space where you could take photos and pick flowers, and you do exactly that here!

To collect flowers, run up to them, they will get stuck on your in-game hand

To regenerate a new level, run off the edge of the world

Left mouse button takes a screenshot and hides the arm, right mouse button keeps the arm in place for the screenshot
Photos should be in the Data subfolder
(Note, photos will be over-written on subsequent playthrus, so move them out of the directory after closing)

To close the game, hit ESC

i don't recommend looking at credits until you're done, it's not explicitly spoilery, it will just ruin any surprises
of course the hints.txt is there in case you need it
i'm not great with puzzles so idk how easy or obtuse this will be

thanks to drambique for asking if i was participating this year lol
wasn't planning to because teaching sucks all of my creative energy up!! i love teaching but omg it's so much work lol
danni's game for me is so good it helped me realize i don't want to do anything outside of my abilities i just want to do something different in form

So sorry for the delay!

In this game you play as Alexandra, a sword-swinging explorer!
Watch out for the shadow monsters and keep an eye out for helpful cats... :)

Steer with "Arrow" keys
Swing your sword with the "A" and "S" keys.
Jump with "Space"

Chistmas Leftovers + Gravity Curtain

Okay I had two ideas for Chistmas sekret santa before settling on Comedy of the Chimera and I thought I might as well share them...!

First idea was a game with games within... two puzzlescript games were made. The game masters wanted to challenge to Chimera.

Challenge 1: Match 3 blocks of each color. Push red blocks and pull blue blocks.

Challenge 2: Reworking of scrapped SokoBoby idea: You and the rocks move at the same time. Get all rocks in the hole and dont get squished by the rocks!

Standard Puzzlescript Controls: arrow keys,x to action, z to undo, r to restart.

Second idea: Gravity Curtain basically had the story of the Comedy but the Chimera has the power to manipulate gravity. Watch out for spikes. It was a pain to individually place every save point and spike.

Controls: WASD, arrow keys to move. R to restart from save point. U and I to activate the gravity curtain!

In "The Mystery Of Glow-Peak" you play as a lady investigating the mystery of a green, glowing mountain. Fight your way through a bunch of dungeons with hand-to-hand combat! Several different weapons of varying strength! And much more!!! Oh also I tried getting some puzzles in but I seem to have ended up with platforming instead. This just happens when an experiment doesn't quite work, I guess! Hope you like platforming!!! If not, you DO NOW!!

I put health bars in this game even though I said I was swearing off them for a bit. Had to be done!!!!

There's snow! You can even step in the snow and it deforms beneath your feet.

Errr... Bright colours. This was the brightest pallette I managed to work with, given the cave setting

KNOWN BUG: Sometimes, if you are attempting parkour against an impassable wall, you'll clip through it and fall through the screen. It's rare, but it happens.

All of the music for this game consists of very sloppy solo bass recordings of mine from a few years ago. The game had no sound as of yesterday, so I'm glad I had some spare previously unused music on hand!

This was a fun list to work with! It's been a busier December for me than usual, so I didn't get to spend as much time on this as I would have liked. My original vision was to have even more side jobs that could be freely discovered and completed in any order. I also wanted more of the nonsense stats to have an actual bearing on the game world (attending to thirst/hunger/bladder was originally supposed to be a gameplay loop in itself). I'm overall pretty happy with what I was able to throw together.

This is an exploration puzzle game with somewhat obtuse mechanics and lots of hidden passages. It is a Sekret Santa gift for fotocopiadora. I didn't make it entirely by myself; I had some help with the audio from my friend Hubol (hubolhubolhubol.com).

HERE IT IS!!
This is a game about very carefully descending haphazardly constructed geometry without dying. The movement is pretty technical, being hacked from one of those quake style character controllers. There's bunny hopping and strafe jumping, and also some extra spicy custom crafted momentum mechanics special for this game. I recommend playing the early-2000s-period-accurate insufficient tutorial level.

There's also a minimal multiplayer component so you can see who else is playing and how they're doing. It's very barebones, though.

For stranger, who requested:
For Klikmas I would like an "anti-climbing" game where you start at the top and must climb down. I'd really like for the path down to be unmarked, not even clear if it's possible to get down, or there to be many paths that become extremely difficult or impossible. Also, it doesn't need to be an actual mountain that I'm descending.



I'm going to leave it at that so as to keep the possibilities open for you, Santa. But here are some things I like that are in no way requirements:

Technical notes:

This is the first game I've written in the Rust programming language! Hopefully everything works...

You will need video driver support for OpenGL 3.1 or newer.
Please do not run the Windows version in Wine! Sound will go all screwy. In a future version of the engine I'm going to switch audio backends which should fix this.
