Iceland vs. Volcano

Created because of the annoyance the Icelandic volcano caused me earlier this year. Fortunately the volcano stopped before I had to fly out of the country this Summer.

I went way, way, way over time on this. My three excuses are 1. this is my first KotMK 2. I was mainly held up by my lack of knowledge of Game Maker and 3. because I didn't have much time to spend on it this week...

Anyway, it's a 2 player game. Pick your side, Iceland or Volcano and mash the appropriate button shown underneath the pictures to charge up attacks. Use Q and O to fire attacks for Iceland and Volcano respectively. Volcano does more damage and can use Smog to hide Iceland's input buttons but Iceland can heal itself.

A Proper Occasion for Ripped Sprites

In celebration of the 25th, I have crafted 25 mini-levels to jump through!

I went waaaay overtime on this.

MMF2 has really lousy performance when it comes to rotating/scaling sprites in software rendering.

Shift jumps.
Hold Shift to jump higher, and to bounce higher off the note blocks.
Don't leave any edge of the screen.
Don't hit any Spinies.
Grab the Super Mushroom. If there are coins, grab them first. Then the Super Mushroom will appear.
You can bounce upward off the top corners of the note blocks.
You can go to any number level by typing that number into the File -> Password dialog.
The "Ow, that really huuurht!" voice clip was by Malefact. Sorry.

Edit: You might want to install the "Arcade" font to play this, but it's totally optional.

Run around touching things to find treasure. It was supposed to be longer but man I'm out of shape with Klik and Play and two hours went by fast. Push Escape when you're done because the game doesn't tell you when you have found everything (this is called nonlinearity). Can you get the highest score?! Probably.

ZOMBIE PACK

Two nights ago, I had a dream about going on holiday with my family. At the end of the week, they all packed their bags and left, while I arrogantly sat in the empty cottage surrounded by dirty clothes and books and stuff. I thought I would have plenty of time to pack my stuff up, but little did I know that the owner of the cottage had arranged for a horde of zombies to swarm in at 7pm and devour anyone who hadn't left yet! I guess this was to discourage lazy bums like me from hanging around after check-out time. The remainder of the dream involved picking up all my junk from around the cottage and its garden, while evading or fighting off zombies.

This is the game of that dream, created in Game Maker 7. Your goal is to pick up your five remaining t-shirts and stuff them into the bag before the zombies get you. There is no sound because I wasted far too much time drawing zombies. The game maker file for the game is included in the zip, in case anyone is interested in checking it out for some reason.
