Two players!
Player 1 moves with A and D and jumps/hovers by pressing W. Player 2 uses the arrow keys. Stomp your opponent and move to the next screen (right for player 1, left for player 2). Reach the far side to win!

In my head this is a mash-up of ideas from Joust/Super Mario War, Mighty Bomb Jack, Kirby games, and Nidhogg, with graphics ripped off of Super Mario Bros. 3. But you could also say it is basically thumb wrestling. With levels. And one player has to win 7 more times than the other before the game actually ends.

I went waaaaaaaaaaaay over two hours. I've probably spent about 16 on it :/ It got to a point where the tweaks I would want to make would require me doing them in each of 15 or 16 frames, so I think I'm going to just call it done now. I haven't actually played with another human, so it might be (read: probably is) complete garbage.

This is late and made it weeks ago but i hope it makes up for the suckyness of this kotm. no offence to other games i have not even tried playing them yet. (But I DID rent fiddler on the roof, and I WILL watch it! anyway can i have ten thousand dollars?)

title, storyline and gameplay inspired by mario galaxy. in fact it's almost a pixel for pixel remake!

Here is a game in which you play as a giraffe and must catch strawberries as they fall from the sky. There's no negative events in the game, it's just a fun idea that sort of snowballed.

Certain sprites based on doodles my friend minkee drew many years ago.

Cave Vasion

You have been lured to this cave deep in the unmapped regions by rumours of noble and famous explorers vanishing inside in search of treasure, never to return. With so many noblemen lost inside, surely something wondrous and dangerous lies - lives? - inside.

You're no stranger to danger, though. In fact, you fancy yourself as danger's best friend, and most evasive foe. You always sensed those blue-blooded braggarts were all puff and no moxie. Now you hope to best them where they failed, and return alive.

Arrows - make a move.
Z - skip a turn.

I managed to make six rooms.
This is of course inspired by Cave Noire, a game by Konami.
