i did a little bit of work thing as result. Anyway it's a template, change it as such & ruruurl if you want... for those that just want to make a simple sample art gallery and just doodle without the thynking.

Here it is, at the icebox event, here is UN... well, FORGETTABLE RAINBOWS. I posted this on the networks a bit earlier right before some commitments and yeah, if you missed it, here's the official writeup.. I wanted to make a cool irc-style ascii art for it, so there's that.. And I wanted to make a description, there's that. If approved by EIT I'll probably move it over to kotm,fotmf event for showcasting there. I really did have a lot of fun with this one and think the narrative works well with the subject matter. Do check out the Delegathls Official Accompaniment Guide if you feel a little lost or just want more extras. My imaginary crowdfunding reached the appropriate goal and these are the awards for early adopters. Also included is an official OST. I could link to those too individually but you can scroll down if you want jams and tunes made by buffoons which may or may not be appropriate with the included adventure. It is your choice how to enjoy it.

Enough with the introductions and start checking out the doors if you wish. You don't have to. Glance at the Delegathls Official Accompaniment Guide though if you've got time. I spent longer on it than the game. The glasses and vases and cat aren't me though. That's from the clipart gallery of ascii in the program jave5.

This is a multiplayer interpretation on the classic novel. If you have a split personality like the character(s) in this book, you can play it by yourself and see which of you wins.

This game also has a specific peripheral required to play. Included in the game is a PDF showing you how to prepare and protect your keyboard.

This was made for the last Global Game Jam. This game is only posted here by the way. NYU hosted it and had several different awards one being best "Trainwreck" and the other being best "peripheral". Because I only post my games here I went real hard to represent. I was nominated for both, but didn't win. The Trainwreck award went to a game called "Shia LaBeouf ate my hands".

This game is dedicated to Andrew Yoon who I sat next to for most of the jam who recently died, and my friend Shawn Bradford who was a subconscious inspiration for the peripheral.

This was my first game when i was on Windows Vista and started to use Klik n Play. You guide the cat into the Moon mens as walls and avoid the devil faces, when the cat dies, it emits a wolf sound.

Actually how about I give you more details about what went into this:

This is easily my largest game yet, and one of the biggest projects I've finished. I've learned a lot on the way, and had much fun! I hope you all enjoy!! Or at least some of you. A lot of time, effort, and tears (maybe) has gone into it, and I think everything I've made for it reflects a lot of myself. Think of that what you will.

And before you ask: the gif above, sadly, does not reflect the actual game strongly. I just put that together for fun.

If you are interested in working with the source and/or peeking at the secrets like the bad player you are, keep in mind that this was edited for release in The Games Factory 1, which isn't as easy to get as Klik'N'Play. I have no idea how backwards compatible this version would be in KNP, and I do know a couple changes I've made would mess it up in KNP a little. As such I've uploaded the slightly older KNP files, which you can nab here. One of the frames in this version crashes sometimes and I have not been able to fix this within KNP, sorry about that.

Truffles Stealth Action

A little time ago I started thinking about a stealth game where enemies would track you by sense of smell. This turned into a silly prototype where actually the enemies just have a larger collision radius and move in fixed paths, so it's not even really a "stealth" game. You control the last truffle on earth (trust me, I looked at several pictures of truffles to try to get it right, if it looks like something else that's my lack of skill...) trying to avoid the pigs that can detect you if you get too close. Anyway, it was already on ice so, why not add it to this event... I just added some screens (title, game over) and another "level".

2018 Extra Notes: Ready? 3, 2, 1 aaaand: Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh. Don't get me wrong, ZOMBO.Com is an absolute classic and a peak cornerstone of late 90s/early 00s internet, but this is...hrmm. Shameful 2012 me, for that meme mode. You didn't even edit the wav file to be suitably spooky either! Terrible, terrible. Looking back on it, I definitely see what leilei was talking about. I also still think it was incredibly rude and not needed, but I see what they were on about.

Two Bees...Or Not Two Bees (Psychosomnium Hack)

Two hacks of my favorite section of cactus’ game Psychomnium. For the first, I simply isolated the “bee” section, made it scroll, added a second checkpoint, and added a second bee. It’s extremely difficult, not impossible, super satisfying upon completion, and a perfect illustration of “masocore” design. Piano players might get a kick out of its requirement for two-handed dexterity. For the second, I used the same isolated, scrolling level and the extra checkpoint, but with a single bee and I modified the controls so that the bee accelerates upwards the entire time that the Up Arrow button is held down as opposed to the previous requirement for several distinct button presses. The idea is to illustrate just how much a seemingly minor control tweak can impact the “feel” of a game’s play. The game is currently Windows-only.
