Pippin Barr made Sibilant Snakelikes - https://pippinbarr.github.io/sibilant-snakelikes/ - many classic and recent games as ssseen through a sssnake-like lenssss. The Shadow of the Colossus and Sensible Soccer versions I liked especially (You should check out his blog as well - http://pippinbarr.com/ )

Anyway, this is basically one of them, but Asteroids, banging once again on my love of x/y inertia in games. Press arrow keys to start the snake thrusting and hunting down the apple/asteroid.

One of my first experiments in generated sound, which I like because having all graphics and sound and gameplay in a single file reminds me of the old days of type-in games in computer magazines.

Over the past ten years I've been making lots of tiny games!

This year for the run up to Christmas I took 25 of the best ones, made sure they worked on modern browsers, and put them here: http://games.alienbill.com/advent/
One is unlocked everyday. (or if you know ANYTHING about javascript, you can hack your way and see them all now.)

I usually use Processing, but GloriousTrainwrecks was a huge inspiration, and a lot of these are from various KotMs and events here

For the Flappy Jam http://itch.io/jam/flappyjam I revived my Atari 2600 game JoustPong / FlapPing: Pong with a Flap Button. I even did an acoustic cover of the theme song with my tuba.

Sorry I haven't been active much on the site, I think over the year I poured most of my Trainwreck mojo into making the 25 toys and games of my annual html5 advent calendar... each is made w/o external graphics, just drawing shapes, and you can see the whole Processing.js source code as one file .

Also each thing is relatively touchscreen friendly... at least for iOS.

After doing 14 Hour Comics Day, I was tired, so I only made a toy.

You control a ectoplasmpuck that can interact with a set of playful ghosts and bounce them around. Press mouse button to stop the ghosts from their playful game of tag and attract them to the puck.

Err, that's it, really.

Asteroids meets an RTS! Draw bounding boxes with the mouse to select a bunch, then click to send them to points on the screen and have them fight the asteroids.

's' adds new ships when your reserves run low.

'r' resets the game. Kind of.

You might just want to press s a lot and have fun with the pretty patterns.

simple vaguely artsy game coming from messing around with my usual physicsy circles and forgetting to clear the screen....

An evil insectoid Law-Yar has stolen Atari's Fuji symbol and with it, Atari's mojo.

You must journey to the evil black castle and rescue the Fuji symbol

This is actually a pretty detailed play-alike to Atari 2600 Adventure, written in Java processing, for another top-sekrit project of mine... it took hella longer than 2 hours, lots and lots of 20 minute subway sessions.... my 2 hour-ness was a simple sprite mod conversion, in the finest of Pirate Kart traditions!

I think there might be a 2 player game idea lurking in here, but I'm sad because doing my advent calendar has apparently tapped out my game making mojo.

Bleh, my gaming mojo left so I made two drawing toys. This is the first. Paint with the mouse... You can kind of throw a paint worm around, and then it orbits the middle of the screen. Space bar clears.

Anyway, this is my game. I was trying to add a bit of Glorious-y out-there-ness to my game that my staid self sometimes lacks, while staying true to my artistic, physics-toy-making style. Such as it is.

THE HOSE is the result.

i was just wondering what would happen if you took the old cellphone "snake" game and made it circular instead of grid based. Then I remembered an old Compute's Gazette game where the snake ate mice.

So, I dunno, Not as awesome as I had hoped, but kinda playable, and cute in its way.
