Japanese animation (anime):
Mario series, Zelda series, Metroid series, Kirby series, Mega Man series (including derivates), Capcom fighters, especially Street Fighter II and the Versus series, Resident Evil series, Metal Slug series, Snow Bros., Tumblepop, The Simpsons (arcade game), The Guardian Legend and many other games.
I have enjoyed quite a few animated Japanese shows.
The anime I like the most is, hands down, Saint Seiya. It's an excellent heroic-fantasy story heavily based on Greek mythology. In Saint Seiya, five young knights must overcome lots of hardships to save goddess Athena.
Other animes I enjoyed: Sailor Moon, Evangelion, Ranma 1/2, InuYasha, Saber Marionette J, Dragon Ball, Slayers, Bt'X, Nightwalker, Card Captor Sakura, Detective Conan, Slam Dunk, CyberTeam in Akihabara, Death Note, and I think that's it.
