Getting to Grips

So, how does it feel to be left out? :P Well, you won't be for much longer because - as I said on the section's index page - here I hope to explain this to you.

Where to start? Firstly, Manga is a cartoony drawing style that originated in Japan and has since been absorbed by the Western countries. "What about the Manga films?", you may ask, well Manga is also the name of the now major Japanese company that founded the drawing style. Manga Entertainment originally started with films, as their budget wasn't huge they invested in Anime (the name given to the Manga style of drawing in motion, pronounced "an-ee-may"). Which was far cheaper and could tell you more than some Japanese bloke with a camera. ^_^

So what have you learnt? You now know what the Manga style and company are. You should also know what Anime is and the difference between Anime and Manga. If you think you can identify it, go on, give it a try. http://www.manga.co.uk might be a good place to see the style if you don't think you have before.
