Pika-Pika-chuuu...Allied AssassinsPi...Pi-ka...Chuuuuuuu!!!

Well, I've now been on Phantasy Star Online, er, online 3 times, so I've decided to make something of a journal to entertain you. If any of you ever want to meet me online, I usually play at the weekend for just over an hour. But it's probably best if you e-mail me first so we can arrange an exact time, rather than connecting after your breakfast and hoping I'll be there!

Anyway, the journal. I will try to log all of my online experiences, starting from my third time online (I can't remember the other times, and they're in the previous updates section anyway).

My character, 'Annoyboy'

(Status at end of last online play)

Well well, looky here. It seems as though we're NEVER going to have that '6 billion player' game, because on the 25th I was thrown out of the... um... area where you get to pick a ship, the second I'd logged on, SIX times. When I got there, I was faced with a massive selection of one ship, but when I pressed 'X' to check out the details, nothing showed up. Regardless, I tried to enter the ship, but every time I got a 'The line was disconnected. Game Over. Press Start' message. Thinking my Dreamarena subscription had buggered up, I popped in a copy of Planet Ring I found on a shelf in my room, that I had never bothered playing before. But that was completely fine, so I went back to PSO and, still having connection troubles, I decided to try my luck in the 50Hz ships. They worked fine (well, the first one that wasn't full did, anyway), but I didn't know anyone, so I found an unsuspecting little HUnewearl called Sophie and attacked her relentlessly with my varying topics of challenging conversation (Ok, so that's a lie. I actually went 'Hi, what level are you? Are you free? Would you like to join me?'). She was only level 20-something (22, I think), but I offered to join her anyway because I'm such a pervert nice person. And I want someone from Redria to give me rare items some day, but don't tell her. ;P

I let her create a team and difficulty, basically because I couldn't be arsed; and then (resisting the temptation to ask her how 'experinced' she was) joined her and dropped loads of neat stuff on the ground for her to pick up. Doing my dodgy 'I love you' symbol-chat icon that's usually reserved for when people are giving things to ME, we started running around the caves with my Spread Needle +15 (Cheers, Darkswarmer!) and beating the hell out of everything we could find with one shot.

OTIS turned up, but he was German and I'm not at all used to using the 'word select' feature (it took me 5 minutes to ask him what his language setting was, becuase he was somewhat mute). He kept getting disconnected, and I assume he left the game because he was bored.

Jimmy joined us a bit later, his level was in the 50s. We spent the rest of our time trading items and helping Sophie to level up. And that was it. Hopefully, my next game (I'm at level 94 as I write) will be a bit less... Boring. I reckon I'll play with the Americans or the Japs next time. Probably Japs.

After being thrown out of my usual lobby (Titan, Block One) because it was full, I decided to search for someone using one of my five beloved Guild Cards. It actually came up with someone, 'Raptor', the only other English person I'd met thus far. I went to meet him in his lobby, where he told me that I was the first person he'd ever met online! ^_^ We entered a game he'd already started in the Ruins on Very Hard, but I couldn't cope with it (I think three hits would have killed me!) and so asked if we could go to Hard mode instead. He obliged, and set up another game. He showed me about a million weapons I'd never even heard of (no Sonic Knuckles though... :P), gave me a couple and asked if we should start a clan. 'Yes', I said, and asked him to come up with a name for it, but before he could tell me I was abrutly disconnected (the sheer audacity makes me SICK)! Frantically trying to reconnect before he thought I had abandoned him, I tracked him down again and explained what had happened. By that time, he had come up with a name for the clan - 'Allied Assassins'! Cool, eh?

*Note to self - stop using exclamation marks, you asshole*

Anyway, he said that we could both have the title of 'Commander' because we were both founders of the group (it was his idea though)... and that we could both recruit people if we thought they were both interested and trustworthy. That means VERY trustworthy - we even swapped our prized Mags to look at for a while, and we both gave them back straight away. That takes one hell of a lot of trust.

It turned out that 'Raptor' had an older brother, and that 'Darkswarmer' (the person I was playing with) was using the same DC as he did. We went halfway through the Ruins and were joined by 'IRISH' ('Raptor'/'Darkswarmer''s friend), who we immediately recruited into AA. He was a nice guy too, but didn't play for long before disappearing.

From then on, it was just me and the level 75-ish RaMar Darkswarmer. He was unbelievably generous, giving me bucketloads of rare weapons (M&A60 VISE +5, anyone?), meseta and anything else I wanted (he could easily be mistaken for Father Christmas, despite the fact that he's skinny, has no beard, and it's nearly summer). Hell, he was a level 70+ version of me!! :D

We eventually got through to and defeated the last boss (who seemed to be attracted to Annoyboy for some reason. Perhaps the dazzling haircut). Dark revived me at least twice at the last part, but we managed to screw Falz pretty good. Dark let me pick up all of the items, then dropped the stuff he was using for me to collect too. He was extremely kind, and THAT is what PSO is supposed to be about. I exchanged e-mail addresses with him, then logged off and went to sleep.

The Nintendo index. It contains pages on the many Nintendo systems, and is the largest section at the moment. The PlayStation section. The wait is almost over... I hope...The crazy Dreamcast section. With minimal references to Crazy Taxi. It's crazy!!!How to get those expensive import games to work on your consoles. Aren't I just _too_ nice?!Er... manga. Not forgetting anime, of course.
