All Hail The Beetle - Don't Jostle That Jewel!

Scroungin_4_Catsup's picture

A small game that allows you to test your skills as a master burglar.

Another experiment in mouse control, or lack thereof, the idea is to pick up your computer's mouse and then put it back down without causing the beetle to move. If you fail, an alarm sounds, the screen shakes and a counter depletes until you put the beetle back where it belongs.

Apologies in advance for the "flavor" of this one being a little bare-bones.

Typing this sentence so I can have a line that doesn't begin with the letter A.

Also (argh!) I've included the source but it contains very few comments!

I don't think you need to

I don't think you need to apologize for the light theme, I like it! It's clever. And it's interesting to see such a physical dexterity based challenge. The custom difficulty scaling is nice, too. The shaking is difficult on my eyes so I appreciate being able to just turn it off!

Thanks. :) In terms of hours

Thanks. :) In terms of hours spent this was a quick game to make, but I actually started on it several weeks ago - I was sick with a cold at the time, and the screen shake was making me nauseous so I decided to shelve it until I knew my own game wouldn't make me feel physically ill haha. Adding in the option to reduce its intensity or turn it off completely seemed like a good idea. Glad it was helpful!
