I started making games because I was inspired by a few specific ones (knytt stories, nekra psaria, daymare town) and thought i could do something people would like. I stopped because it was a lot of time and energy for something that i got limited external validation for, and because i started working full-time in software engineering. I started taking a game AI course recently for a master's program because it seemed easy, maybe it would be fun to get back to making games again soon, just really simple stuff. unfortunately the tool that used to be my favorite (stencyl) became totally unusable. My last game was made with godot, but now i'm using unity for the class so maybe that would be straightforward. blog over
