The Klik of the Month Klub meets right here on this very website on the third Saturday of every month at 4pm Pacific Time (taking daylight savings into consideration) for a two hour Klik & Play Showdown. Everyone who participates gets two hours to create something from scratch in Klik & Play. Abusing the stock objects is encouraged. If you really loathe Klik & Play you can use whatever game development platform you want. Two hours is a pretty tight time limit, though, so choose wisely!

Klik & Play is absolutely free to download, and learning it takes minutes, so everyone can get in on the action. Want to talk to your fellow Klikwreckers? Join us on IRC -- server irc.freenode.net, channel #glorioustrainwrecks. Join the mayhem!

Sign up below to get reminded by email the day before the klikkening begins!

Did you happen to notice

Did you happen to notice that the article was written by the Weekly World News?

Also: I just realized this morning that I'd scheduled a weekend trip to northern Oregon this weekend. Meaning I am pretty unlikely to be able to attend this week's KotMK! I am a sad face. :(

A shock image is a shock

A shock image is a shock image, real or fake.

And, what, they don't have any Klik & Play in Northern Oregon? Was that all mined out after that software gold rush the Oregon Trail talked about?

I am honestly sorry that I disturbed you :(

It looks like there may be free WiFi at the KOA where I'm staying, so I may end up making it after all. WE WILL SEE.

KOA: The Only Organization More Hell-Bent On Replacing "C"s With "K"s Than Glorious Trainwrecks Dot Com

Seriously, the "K" in "KOA" stands for "Kampgrounds". KAMPGROUNDS FOR KHRIST'S SAKE

BIG POPPA DINOSUAR DIGGER (not a typo!)

- For the benefit of Vietnam veterans this game has no sound so it will not induce flashbacks.
- Control the explosion in order to snatch Big Poppa Dinosuar's monies.
- Exiting the screen, getting hit by other explosions and getting hit by lasers will make you have a bad time.
- Hold shift to shoot fireballs for no reason at all!
- Only on Nintendo Gamecube!

This game is... really fucking shit.

REVERSER ONE

You and your science-team made a terrible mistake! The experiment went horribly wrong, and a rip in time and space is growing inside the reactor core! Maneuver the analysis drone along the surface of the reactor, soot the rift to reduce its size, but not too much! And stop the asteroids from attaching to the core; they seem to make the rift grow faster! Except when you cause two of them to collide, reducing the rift to a small size? Just keep it together for two minutes, and everything will work out fine!

pixiesmash

there are beautiful, ephemeral pixies, flitting about hither and yon on gossamer wings, the very stuff dreams are made of.

you smash them with a rock.

PTBWDTWWAE Special Edition!

This month, I bring you a very special presentation: a fully graphical, audionically narrated special edition of one of my text adventures. I present for your consideration:

PUSHING THE BUTTON WITH DESTROY THE WORLD WITH AN EXPLOSION: SPECIAL EDITION

Installation instructions: extract the contents of the three .zip files to the same folder and run the .bat file, then extract the resulting .zip file.

If you have trouble figuring out how to get the ending, the original version (requires a Z-Code interpreter, such as Frotz) will help.
