Klik of the Month Klub #27
The Klik of the Month Klub meets right here on this very website on the third Saturday of every month at 4pm Pacific Time (taking daylight savings into consideration) for a two hour Klik & Play Showdown. Everyone who participates gets two hours to create something from scratch in Klik & Play. Abusing the stock objects is encouraged. If you really loathe Klik & Play you can use whatever game development platform you want. Two hours is a pretty tight time limit, though, so choose wisely!

I managed to do it, but it
I managed to do it, but it was partially luck. Most of my deaths on the third stage were from those slow-mo bursting hearts. Sometimes they didn't produce an opening close enough to me to squeeze through. That, and they travel really fast.

I've gone through a few
I've gone through a few ideas as for what to do for my first Glorious Trainwreck trainwreck (as I've done some trainwrecks before). First idea was an action/edutainment game about defenestration. Second one was about El Loco Dumas (the Yellow Runner) transforming into a helicopter. I think now I'm going to do something involving the Hurdler saving the world from... something.
Also, the two hour period kinda cuts into my dinner time a little. I'll just see what happens..

Press Shift to both jump and shoot a hurdle.
Press Ctrl to send all hurdles back to Earth for an upgrade.
Hurdles may only be upgraded once.
Don't let any Martian Zombies land!

White Men Can't Jump
Science has gone horribly wrong, and a black man and a white man have been fused into the same body. Many comical arguments ensue between them. It's like an American Sitcom, only marginally less awful (and makes about as much sense).
You must switch between a character that can jump about and collect items, and one that can destroy the various enemies in your path.

Yeah, wow. It's amazing what little words will do... people always say something about a picture being worth a thousand words, but in games, where pictures feature much more prominently (IF aside), the text takes you by surprise, and thus seems full of gravitas. Which then works doubly well for your chosen subject matter. Nice.

It took me 24 hours instead of 2 hours because of bugs, and I didn't post it last night (this morning) because I was too tired, but that's okay.
There's no win condition or anything, it's just a keep-your-house-dry toy in the spirit of an old friend.

So first of all, I got up early Saturday morning to join KotMK. Then I realized that my brain was off, and that because of the time difference (I'm in Korea), I was up a day early. Then things got busy and a couple of days went by. Then I thought, by golly, I'm going to make a two-hour game! Then I did, but it ended up taking me about four hours. Partly because I did no preparation or thinking before hand, and partly because it's the first thing I've made using Game Maker; I think it should have taken two hours :P.
Anyway, I took a piece of creative writing I jotted down a couple of years ago, and turned it into... I don't know what. Something akin to a visual novel, I guess? But short. And more interactive (barely). My goal was to make the piece more interesting and affective, but I'm not sure if I achieved that or not.
