Getting the best photo

This is based off of an experience I had on Friday trying to use these controls to get a clear picture on an electron microscope of very small corn ears, everything looked the same. The contrast and brightness seemed the same and only put dark and light lines.

!!

This one is interesting because it almost doesn't feel like a flick game, it feels like one screen that is interactive rather than several. This is a really cool use because it uses flick for something I'm not sure anyone else would use it for, it feels like a unique idea.

This is a really good fidgety controls simulator... it's making me a little tense!

There is no win state, there is only corn cob!

I was totally going for stress, so that's great. I did this on Friday for real, and it was like the focuses were the same, and the contrast and brightness were the same and they just made the screen darker and lighter, and it was all in that little window, and I could not figure out how to make the picture look good and it sucked. So then I come home and show Clyde the pictures and tell him everything I just typed and he was all like "all you have to do is look at an edge and move the knobs until it becomes a sharp image." Like I hadn't been trying to do that. So I thought this game would show him what it was like more than my explanation.

I'm looking forward to the sequel to this game where you are trying to explain why using an electron-microscope is hard to someone who has never used one, and regardless of your your explanation they just keep telling you that it is easy-peasy.

I look forward to the sequel where you tell me how hard it looks after all, and that it is not as simple as you tried to make it sound. Whens that game gonna come out?

Where / how were you able to

Where / how were you able to use an electron microscope? So cool!

by cool you mean stressful

I had to do it for work. I work in a research lab at a university and there is one on campus.
It being for work sucks everything fun or cool out of it. It just means my department is paying $60 an hour so I better get images they can publish.
Meanwhile I can't tell if the image is getting focused or not. Hence the game.

Your stress is someone else's joy

The concept that you made it is beyond me, other than you thinking this is the way to jot down the concept. It'd be similar to a job working on your feet all day and then making a time management game. Whenever I play one I'm like aww man this is too close to work but then I have to think what about the person that made it? Course those are a trend and have an api / creator for em so they can dish those out faster than we can finish playing them, but yeah, it's a bold move is all I'm saying. I'm sure there's a handful of people after playing this that want to do it.. Not me though. I have enough trouble being me, much less focusing on the colonels of corn. I'd rather just be a corn soldier anyway.

Solid work though. Your efforts have been acknowledged and hopefully the history books will popeful persevere in preserving its posterity so the polish won't chip away tomorrow or today.
