*UPDATE

I've made a new link for the game, a more permanent and safer host on my domain (instead of dropbox)

New features have been added including tighter controls, decreased fire-rate and game changing power-ups including rapid fire and shield.

Font has been fixed and new sound and music has been added, enjoy!

2P S.A.H

A 2 player competitive cross between Asteroids and Air Hockey.
This is my first game I hope you like it! You need a friend to play this, but even if you have no friends arround you should still have a look :)

Features:
FULLY DESTRUCTIBLE ENVIRONMENTS!!! Frostbyte 2 has NOTHING on this.
MEGA COOL NOISES with REVERB!!!!
DIFFICULT TO CONTROL SPACESHIPS which shoot BULLETS and drop MINES!!!
A WELL PRETENTIOUS PRESENTATION - Good luck figuring out what the heck you have to do!
RELATIONSHIP BONDING - Get intimate with a friend or loved one as you play around a single keyboard!

It runs best in Google Chrome as the game runs in hardware mode. But it still performs fine in software mode in other browsers - just not as well.

Made in Construct 2.

Pololo Shodown

Pololo Shodown.png

The idea for this occurred to me when I was playing with the movement in Breakanoid RC.

A two-player game, with the not unusual goal of putting a ball into your opponent's net.

It reminds me of the soccer mode in Excitebike 64: Controls that, at first, seem cumbersome that with practice allow for satisfying, and fine, control. There are a lot of neat ball control tricks.

(Oh, that gives me an idea, actually: perhaps the ball should be still at the start, and players come out to strike it. The strategy round that moment in ExciteBike 64 was one of my favourite things about that game.)

Edit:

I've made a new version with 2 modes: one where the ball moves on level start, the other where it waits until player contact. It's playable via Newgrounds.

Edit:

This game now has a sick website (well, it's had it for a while): https://blueberrysoft.ryliejamesthomas.net/games/Pololo%20Shodown/

Edit:

Now also on The Internet Archive!

murderous murderer

title1.png

This is a four player game. One of the player is the murderer (they must kill half of the citizens), and the rest are cops (they must hunt down the murderer). Press a button to know if you're the murderer! Press another button to kill people!

Mostly made over a coffee high at 2 am. Some things are still a bit choppy (killing people is imprecise as fuck). Also my first game!

for two players or one really dextrous player

switch tracks to destroy enemies in your wake! be careful not to crash into them (or each other)! can you reach the mythical kill screen, the hall where only the most valorous and high-scoring warriors travel to when they (collectively) reach 999 points?

controls:
w/a/s/d (player one) and arrow keys (player two) to move
moving up and down is now slightly more useful

Metapong

metapong.png

It's pong, except the ball contains a second game of pong. Scoring a goal in either game awards you a point and resets that ball only. First to ten wins. The outer layer has a few special rules (can influence the ball's path by hitting it with a moving paddle, and the ball's velocity increases with every paddle hit up to a maximum speed) that the inner layer does not. Note that the two games aren't one-to-one representations of each other and very quickly get de-synced.

Not entirely sure if I played a game like this before. Was fun to make regardless.

Controls:
Player 1: W/S
Player 2: Up/Down

Edit:
- Fixed a silly bounds error that prevented the inner paddles and ball from moving in the entire outer ball.
- Fixed an asymmetry in the paddle positions.
- Added a short delay before either ball starts moving at the beginning of the game.
