Just in the nick of time! This took a lot longer than I expected.
So this is a silly little 1 player paper & pencil adventure game about collecting loot. It's sort of a mixture of Gacha games, the slow and steady progress of MMOs, and a little bit of crafting-y puzzle-y things. In trying to research Gachapon design techniques I discovered Shopkins and was horrified, so I had to channel their hyper commercialized aesthetic a little bit.
There's two uploads- a PDF that's good for reading (the pages are in order), and a PDF that's for printing (the pages are collated like a booklet). Theoretically, it should print onto 5 8.5x11" pages, double sided, but I haven't tried it yet.
P.S. if you read the "Reading" PDF - try to put it into the "pages side by side" mode!
Love from ya boy,
Marek
I've been doing the one hour game jam the past few weeks, it's pretty fun! I thought this one turned out pretty well so I thought I'd post it here. Unity is a tough tool to use for such a tight time constraint, I find myself putting a lot of work into figuring out what I can actually get unity to do in that time frame rather than working from any particular idea. Still, sometimes it pushes you to use your tools more creatively than you might otherwise do. The theme this week was "two colors." A benefit of making very abstract games is that you don't have to go much out of your way to make your game fit the theme.
This was made originally for Johnny's MS Paint jam. I liked the challenge and potential of mspaint, especially in how it doesn't allow for alpha channels, so everything has to be a big rectangle. It took a long time to figure out what the game was, and once I realized it it was kind of depressing how big the scope had to be, but I don't think it spiraled out of control too much. There are a lot of paths, and they intersect in strange ways. Don't feel like you have to find them all or anything, of course.
Also, as a heads up, it's a game about wild animals & it can get a little violent and a little sexual, so watch out!
welcome to your first day as a chocolate shoe arranger! please the endless chain of underwear babes by making them custom chocolate shoes. what's a chocolate shoe? it's a shoe filled with chocolate. it's a smelly ass nasty shoe that someone's been wearing all dang day that's filled with chocolate. i dunno but people buy it so make it for them. please try really hard to pair a good shoe with a good chocolate. really think about how the smells and flavors go together. the last guy was terrible. we couldn't let him go because it's impossible to hire shoe chocolatiers in this city but it's not like we're sad to see him gone. i can't believe i got roped into going to his weedding. i think if i just don't go he'll forget he invited me but i don't want to risk it. oh they get those place mats and stuff at weddings huh they'll definitely notice if i bail. fuckkk yeah i guess i have to go. anyway good luck
This game is for bc_, merry klikmas!
I played a little fast and loose with your requests, but I hope its still alright! You mentioned liking euro western more than great american western and i didn't know what that means so i watched "My Name Is Nobody" on netflix and I still don't know but anyway i set the game in a desert with lots and lots (and lots) of cacti. You play as a feller with a rude finger that you can use to poke the villains that surround you. It's got klipart villains and it uses cooltext.com to generate the dialog reactions. a little mno guy will follow you around as well. i used some artistic license on him but i used your drawings so i hope that all works out. oh and there's an explosino when you beat the boss. Oh! and that music you linked. it's made in unity so i can't post the events per se but the source is here if you want it.
controls: WASD to move
mouse to point
shift to sprint
you can beat the banditos by rude fingering them
also make sure you're connected to the internet because it downloads the cooltext in real time
This game is a snowman building simulator.

Yeah putzed around with unity a bit. call it an art game!
As we all know, the only thing worth spending your money on is firecrackers. Spend all your allowance on firecrackers and throw them into the quarry.
Arrow Keys: Move
Space Bar: Throw firecrackers.
You are an epic adventurer embarking on an epic quest to have epic facial expressions! Participate in epic dual-action eyebrow controlling action and use the epic power of your facial expressions to conquer epic quests! But don't get an epic curse from one of the monsters!
