Carrocracia is a game about the motorized lifestyle that is destroying all the possibilities to have a healthy and peaceful life in the cities. You can come and go, if you have a car. If you don't have a car, you are not a human worthy for be respected. In this game I try to synthesize this feeling.

CHEATING AT KLIK OF THE MONTH: PART I
Back in June, inspired by Silly Family and the Museum of Soviet Arcade Games, I set out to make a fake arcade game adaptation of Worker and Parasite. Things were looking good. Unfortunately, they weren't playing good, so I removed all the gameplay and sent the art asset filled Game Maker file to my original inspiration, rhetoricstu. This is what we created.
Mark Gobbin provided the music, a remix of Jonkvrouwe by Goto80.
This started out as an attempt to make a better version of Nitrome's Mega Mash, and it gradually grew ever closer back toward ROM CHECK FAIL and WarioWare Inc., the initiators of the 'mashup' genre.
It's primarily an intimation about the tendency of old arcade games to have a strong vertical dynamic to their design. In many such games, the player occupies the bottom half of the screen, and the CPU opponent controls the top half. Every five seconds, ABOVE v. BELOW randomly swaps its bottom-screen player-character and top-screen antagonist with those from several such vertical arcade games, demonstrating that the vertical dynamic inherent in these games allows such match-ups to be both playable and interesting.
Play the game using only the mouse!
This mashes up the following games (don't read if you don't want spoilers):
* Pong
* Breakout
* Space Invaders
* Pinball
* Missile Command
* Pang (a.k.a Buster Bros)
* Crystal Quest (admittedly not a vertical game, but included for variety).
There's no sound because I didn't feel like it.
A friend of mine is helping teach a game design course at uni. Last week, he briefly described to me one of the game ideas one of the game design teams threw out earlier in the semester. This game is a quick prototype based on a partial second-hand understanding of their rejected design, made in Klik & Play.

Just a small arcade-ish game done in Construct. May require DirectX.
A Galaga-like action game. Shoot down the Insector waves with three different weapons!
EDIT Oct 2011: Reduced enemies from 27 to 20.
Basic arcade scoring type thing. Shoot at the enemies and try not to die.
Manage three multipliers and spray absurd amounts of bullets to get ridiculous scores.
