Spyros Paraschis

I can call myself a hobbyist programmer. I've had a computer ever since 1983 and from those days I started creating various programs. In the pre-Internet days, circulating an amateur program was not so easy, so most of these early programs are now lost. Some of them though, somehow found their way to magazine coverdisks and local BBS and survived, while others waited patiently to be found in old floppies. You can find those survivors here, even though they are not exactly masterpieces. But, after all, this section is just an... Ego - boost.

Earth Invader (1990)
download adf file (353Kb)
Ah, Earth Invader, probably my first true game. As you can see, it is a Space Invaders clone. Graphics were OK for my standards, but there is no animation; the sound is quite nice and it includes the only mod file I have ever composed.
To be honest, there is really no reason to download the game, since the gameplay is ..., well let's just call it outdated. If you insist however, you have to have WinUAE (Amiga emulator) or a real Amiga, to play the game. Earth Invader runs in WinFellow, but without sprite collision detection.

Sea Terror (1996)
download game (1372Kb)
Sea Terror is my first Windows game, created using Klik'n'Play. It is another simplistic shoot-em up (I admit it, that's what I like to do), in which you control a ship and try to hit some submarines with sea bombs. The sound effects are quite funny but the game becomes boring after a while. Nevertheless, I enjoyed making it, back in 1996.

Zillo-pedia (1997)
no download link
Zillo-pedia is a quite pointless multimedia presentation I built a long time ago, containing info (text, images and sounds collected from the net) about Godzilla and other, mainly japanese, movie monsters of the same era. It had been created with the very capable but unfortunately not supported any more "The Games Factory" from EuroPress
I am not putting a download link, since the zip archive is quite big (about 3.5MB). If you really can't live without Zillo-pedia, e-mail me and I will upload it.
