I'm back. This may be difficult to swallow in this age of superconnectivity, but I only got the internet piped into my not-enough-room-to-swing-a-dead-cat-let-alone-have-the-facilities-to-cook-it abode a couple of days ago. Sure, I had my whopping 6mb per day on the university computers, but I felt could not do this site justice by showing up and not being able to download and upload the gruesome trainwrecks. Various other things invaded my life to prevent me from getting the internet - for one, I embarked on yet another "maiden" voyage (boom-tish) which is still so involving that to game-o-bliggity-blog every nuance would require a development team the size of the chariot crowd in Ben-Hur.
A triumphant rhinoceros trainwreck to herald my return will be stampeding its way to your eyeballs and fingers, shortly!
IT'S STUPENDOUSLY GOOD TO BE BACK, GLORIOUSTRAINWRECKS.COM! I MISSED YOU TERRIBLY!
P.S I was on the train platform the other day, and someone actually had a shopping bag which read "Hat World." Don't worry, Six, I served him the cease-and-desist while politely breaking his legs.
EDIT: And here it is, quicker than even I expected! I had the idea for this while outside, pressing 'c'. My gosh, it's lovely to be klikking again.
Presenting:

The time is right... for making videogames! The Timezone Lottery Klik Jam happens on the first Saturday of every month, at a time chosen randomly by our top-of-the-line numerical hour-choosing machines. This month, it takes place at 10:30 pm UTC. Whenever that time rolls around for you, you have two hours to make a game!
How can I possibly make a game in that short a timespan, you gasp? There are many game-making tools available, but the most ludicrous and welcoming of all is Klik & Play. If you want to give K&P a shot, we have a Learning KNP FAQ available, as well as some advice on making it work on modern machines.
Making games is its own reward, but it can be much, much more rewarding when you're doing it with friends. To get the most out of this worldwide internet game jam, come talk with everyone on IRC. It's a great way to share this awesome experience, and get quick help when things aren't going right. Our server is irc.freenode.net, and our channel is #glorioustrainwrecks.
After you've made your game, upload it here!
For more information, check out the N00B FAQ.

game created with Klik n play in 1 hour. (I love Klik n play ... is it still used by this site?)
CONTROLS:

A few months ago, a friend of mine checked out a room at the campus pub for our group of friends to do 3-5 minute presentations on anything. I decided to do mine on my journey of making games as well as accessibility in making games. I used this Bitsy game as the first "slide" to say hello and introduce myself, even though everybody knew me. The screenshot image shows the "slides" I used for the presentation.
The reason I'm posting this here is because:
a) It's my first Bitsy game, and I want to archive it somewhere
b) I like proliferating accessible tools, and hope someone might become interested in creating things with it
c) I enjoy using alternative means of doing something, like using this Bitsy game as a "slide" in a presentation. Having this on my profile is a reminder to do that!

This game is dedicated to Disney
(originally a minigame in another project set in hollywood, but I have decided to release it seperately)
Duck Fight is a game my friend made and I made the box art and website for. I'm posting it here because I can't decide whether it is a trainwreck or not. You, on the other hand, probably can.

I updated my computer again cos i'm terrible with laptops and tend to break them after a year. I upgraded to Windows 7 and was sad that none of my programs worked cos it was 64 bit, so I downgraded to 32 bit windows and yay back to making fun games.
But windows being the ultimate hater, i had to get windows xp mode to get anything to work. Still using TGF yo.
Then I found out about Clickteam Fusion Free. YAY
Guess who's back to making trainwrecks? ME
I bought AGK a few years ago but coding by hand is annoying, Construct2 is faster to mess with and similar to Clickteam in certain aspects.
I recently read this essay about why subcultures can't survive popularity. I have complicated feelings about it. I think there is some truth here, but I also know very well that this concept is used to harm and exclude in purpose of the motivations that it tries to warn us about.
I was reminded that I have already tried to make a game about these ideas, and I discovered that it isn't on Glorious Trainwrecks!
So here it is.
