I finally tried out Ray Game Designer 2 from the "tools" page, here on Glorious Trainwrecks.
Oh my gosh it was something I've been looking for for a long long time. Cheap tile-based 3D with triggers, switches, scriptable events, and it plays AVIs and any sound or music files. The map editor even has a "randomly fill" and "randomly deform" macro built in. How could I have missed this before?
My problems are, firstly, that any 3D tiles I try to place from my tile bank don't show up in the editor. It says I put that tile there, and if I leave and return to the space, it says that tile is there, and the textured cube shows up correctly in the little preview window in the very same editor, but it simply is invisible to the main window.
Secondly, all the documentation online about the software is in French, and not particularly google-translatable.
I really, really, really want to make something in this, but I'm at a loss as to how to get started here. If anybody here has any experience with the program, I'd really appreciate any pointers you have on getting this amazingly over-looked little program to behave.
Try to win this fair competition.

note on the return of scab simulator:
After a game that I thought it was my last Scab Simulator, I decided to return the series because of just how it is. It is a series of games in which I get able to express myself about some stuff that is going on in my life. There have been some games in the series that haven't been personal at all, most notably, the first ten or so games. However, the series did have some personal instalments, and this happens to be one of them. It is about something that happened to me a while back, and I might as well bring the series in full effect this time.
don't you just love it when someone talks shit behind your back when you are around?
Do you love Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!?
Do you have a Wii that can run homebrew?
Do you have a pair of Gamecube bongos?
THEN PREPARE TO EXPERIENCE THE GLORY OF MIKE TYSON'S JUNGLE BEAT -- THE ONLY NES EMULATOR WITH BONGO SUPPORT!
CONTROLS
Each bongo has a top and a bottom button. These naturally correspond to high and low punch.
To dodge, clap.
To use your star punch (or to "Press Start"), hit both top buttons.
To block, hold the start button on the bongos.
Unfortunately SD card support does not work in the latest development copy of FCE Ultra that I used as a baseline, so you will have to run the included injector program with your legitimately acquired Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! ROM. Fortunately, this means that running the game from your Wii takes you DIRECTLY INTO THE ACTION!
Download mtjb.zip to get started!
mtjb.diff is the patch from the SVN trunk as of today (June 27, 2008). The hack is pretty straightforward, so it's not very large.
InjectorSrc.zip is the source code for the injector program, in case someone wanted to compile a Mac version or something.

I updated my computer again cos i'm terrible with laptops and tend to break them after a year. I upgraded to Windows 7 and was sad that none of my programs worked cos it was 64 bit, so I downgraded to 32 bit windows and yay back to making fun games.
But windows being the ultimate hater, i had to get windows xp mode to get anything to work. Still using TGF yo.
Then I found out about Clickteam Fusion Free. YAY
Guess who's back to making trainwrecks? ME
I bought AGK a few years ago but coding by hand is annoying, Construct2 is faster to mess with and similar to Clickteam in certain aspects.
