This handsome devil's picture is not in fact me, but a cartoon version of Wario (Mario's archnemesis). I contributed 2 games for the Pirate Kart and that's all. They are my first two games made with this program. I hope they are terrible enough for this fantastic compilation.

Hello this is a klik raycasting FPS with one level.

I was gonna add exploding barrels and grenades and a cowboy enemy type but I ran out of time what with all the bugfixing to be done.

It's capped at 15fps. Deal with it (my laptop barely can).

Controls are WASD, shift to sprint, 1/2/3 to switch weapons, leftklik to fire, esc to quit, E to open doors and secret walls. Find the magical door thing to exit the level.

Bucolic BINKY and the Clone Catastrophe

Game File:

More a children's story than a game. I needed to explore some stuff in Blitz3d - figuring out a workflow for creating cutscenes. That seemed horribly dry so I thought I'd make it more fun by doing something with gisbrecht's BINKY models. Done as a learning exercise but I thought I'd share it as some of you might like it.

Many thanks to gisbrecht for sharing the assets - hope you enjoy this little BINKY tribute.

Fourth Anniversary Grumper

GrumperFourth_4.png

Challenge some of the hardest Grumper levels yet! This Dattorz Fourth Anniversary Edition brings you four all-new levels, with new themes and music, plus a fourth toggle block color!

To improve accessibility, two styles of air control are available to you. Additionally, if you find these levels too difficult, you can activate Cheese Mode which allows you to place a checkpoint anywhere there's solid ground - just type JELLOGUT before picking your level.

Super Games Corporation

Bobby Fantastic was a leading light in the early years of the games industry. Revolutionary in his day, Bobby created over 700 titles (not SKU's, titles!) and is responsible for the British Academy of Foxy Telemarketing Ambassadors yearly awards show. As well as being involved in game creation, Bobby teaches at The University Of Alaska and liaises with Hollywood on revolutionary game to film crossover titles such as "Tenko: The Game" and "Suicide Isn't Really That Painless: A M*A*S*H* Retrospective in Videogame Form".

Since forming Super Games Corporation, Bobby Fantastic has been at the cutting edge of the art games movement, forgoing entertainment for meaning and bringing the tears of a thousand children to bear on a previously staid industry. When not making games, Bobby Fantastic is also known as "The Indie Doctor" and helps the new wave of independent developers pull their heads out from the sand and face the realities of development.

My attempt at a weird control scheme. Use the arrow keys and WASD to avoid the gangster and return home safely. But... which button moves witch direction?

Moonlit Corpse

HELLO.

I am organising a game of exquisite corpse, using the Sword of Moonlight tool.

Sword of Moonlight is a nice piece of software by From, and it used to make King's Field style games. Making maps is simple enough, and everyone is welcome, no matter their familiarity with the software or the King's Field series. Here is an example of the first thing I made in it, it took a few minutes.

The actual duration of the event is 'as long as it takes'.

There are no rules regarding how much a person has to contribute.

I think the basic process is:

  1. Finalise list of participants.
  2. Decide on order the project will be passed round in.
  3. Make a chart to determine how the separate maps will link together, and whose map will link to whose.
  4. Pass around project folder, each participant adding their map and events (etc.), and link their map to whichever is required.
  5. Make some tea.
  6. Distribute, and play.

I will be using E-mail to do a lot of the organisation and co-ordination (though will mirror things here), as not everyone participating is a GT member. So if you want to pass your address along to my gmail: rylie.james.thomas do that!
I've also made this cool website to host it: http://moonlitcorpse.neocities.org/

A platform adventure game. Use the arrow keys. There a few different environments to explore and you can jump (only where it is allowed) and listen to the music. I like the first half of the game, but now looking back I think the second half should have gone in a more unexpected direction to make it more exciting. I got lazy and was trying to finish it quick.
