"I lost ten minutes to this damn 'game'. Not even an achievement for making it look like a letter S."
This is a simple simulation inspired by this article, the browser game World of Sand, and several of my previous games, especially Super Calamity Annie Galaxy. Click and drag the two planets to alter the path of the stream of water emanating from a distant sun.
Sergio and I were talking about including a new Knytt tutorial for the Babycastles expo, and I remembered this old tutorial I was tooling around with. It's called Mummenschanz, and like the acting troupe it takes its name from, it tries to convey its message through a minimum of words. I'm not sure if I totally succeeded at it, but here it is anyway! (With music by Kinetic Law.)
Update: Now with minor improvements, thanks to Sergio.
So I made some sort of personal project where I start making a game on New Year's Eve and then I finish making it. Eventually. Preferably before the next New Year's Eve.
I started this thing on 31 December 2014, and I finished it somewhere in early autumn or so. Now I will release it on this New Year's Eve.
This is actually fairly long, with a developed storyline, several levels and multiple endings! So I'm hoping I will get some feedback and attention in general. I like attention.
Where has Olson been? We don't know, except we do.
He was in an elevator, going up up up.
Was that his destination? I highly doubt it.
-Incredibly small game file
-Animations that blend in perfectly
-Men who are in the way
-Sacagawea
-Bus stop deprivation
-7 out of 4 people say it's good
-Olson is a wonderful fellow
You have one minute to steal 5 different vehicles in this licensed game made by someone who did not watch or even care about the source material.
Are you up for the challenge?
