This is my first game for GT... and also my first creation in Construct. Woohoo!
I made shovelware versions of several of my own games for my game jam. Feel free to enjoy them (or not)!
I was going to make this for this weeks Themed Trainwreck Thursday but oh well. It's the latest game by SoftSoft.
The time is right... for making videogames! The Timezone Lottery Klik Jam happens on the first Saturday of every month, at a time chosen randomly by our top-of-the-line numerical hour-choosing machines. This month, it takes place at 3:30 pm UTC. Whenever that time rolls around for you, you have two hours to make a game!
How can I possibly make a game in that short a timespan, you gasp? There are many game-making tools available, but the most ludicrous and welcoming of all is Klik & Play. If you want to give K&P a shot, we have a Learning KNP FAQ available, as well as some advice on making it work on modern machines.
Making games is its own reward, but it can be much, much more rewarding when you're doing it with friends. To get the most out of this worldwide internet game jam, come talk with everyone on IRC. It's a great way to share this awesome experience, and get quick help when things aren't going right. Our server is irc.freenode.net, and our channel is #glorioustrainwrecks.
After you've made your game, upload it here!

Here's a human head floating in a purple void for you to play with and enjoy. Please treat it with the respect it deserves. Comes with two eyes. You might enjoy also going into edit mode with "e" and making your own human head with as many eyes as you want.
The Mysterious Industrial Building has created a vortex that is summoning derelict Recreational Vehicles from across the Universe! You have five minutes to save the victims from the Scrapyard of Doom before ... um ... something really bad happens I suppose. Doesn't make any sense at all but hopefully you might find it fun.
Another game for Grid Grind. More Unity learning. From the grid - Mysterious industrial building, Someone who needs help, Van/Bus/RV. Idea came to me when I was playing around with some RV models I happened to have and found that dropping them from the sky was silly fun.
The game can be unfair - it can happen that falling RV's block your routes so much that winning becomes impossible. But it is winnable though not easy. It gets easier after you play a few times and learn your way around.
Instructions in game, credits in read me file.
WARNING - contains LOUD sound effects! Well that is what tends to happen when Recreational Vehicles fall from the sky into a scrapyard.
Baby lost in mine! Oh no. Get to the exit and run away like a thing that runs away.
Killing Of the Great Pumpkin
A game by Mark Porter with music by Duncan Fenn.
Thanks to Philip Linde.
Yesterday I joined glorioustrainwrecks and made my first game in years- well 5 years to be exact. I have to admit it was quite a lot of fun so I felt like doing something else well just today - with the remaining motivation and spirit. I have to admit this game took longer than 2 hours because my computer would fuck up and a lot of other problems. The graphics just took me like 25 minutes so the rest got wasted in coding.
I still hope you enjoy this title even though it took longer than 2 hours. Sorry but I didn't want to submit a buggy piece of junk.
cheers
Mark
