does knp even have scrolling or did it only come in at tgf or something

It was introduced with TGF,

It was introduced with TGF, yeah. Although, you can achieve scrolling in KNP if you get really creative in the event editor!

fook it, gonna have to

fook it, gonna have to switch to tgf then.

i legit know nothing about doing crazy shit in knp so yeah

indeed he's right

increasing the play area and then having everything be active and using arrow keys to scroll all the actives, essentially all of them being object things... that's how you get scrolly mcscrollies.. I can think of a half-easy glitchy ways. Mmm, there's no camera movement thing so you'd have to be okay with all the stuff on the left disappearing. once it leaves the play area... same if you are going down. I think I saw a snapman game with some legit looking downward scrolling to where he had allergies. poor guy. I liked that game.

Here it is, Historically Accurate Allergic Barbarian Adventure! or hey, you like a Newgrounds version .. With a little bit of work it could've been been done perfectly, but uhh, i dunno, looking at it now, I think it is perfect. Easter egg, pressing shift at the last frame goes to a blank black frame.. But yeah, there's a little scrolling example... making the play area big enough though for eXtreme scrolling and I don't know why allergic barbarians come to mind, but it's a good game anyway so take this advice with a grain of salt since I myself haven't pushed the boundaries of klik n play to the max, and good luck

Allergic Barbarian doesn't

Allergic Barbarian doesn't really have scrolling. I think a better example of a snapman game with simplified scrolling would be Rio and Ruckus' Unlicensed Dinoventure!

Still, TGF1 has native support for scrolling, so you might prefer that instead if you don't want to come up with your own KnP scrolling system.

I'm shocked you didn't take

I'm shocked you didn't take this opportunity to mention El Loco Dumas in SPAAAAAACE!

El Loco Dumas in Space is

El Loco Dumas in Space is spaghetti code even if it isn't very many events long. I don't want people using it as a reference. I'd rather create a new version with a fixed scrolling engine compatible with built-in movements for the non-player objects and have people look at that instead.

The concept behind that scrolling system is remarkably simple and I still managed to screw it up.
