Fireproof Lumberjack 2.zip

In this AAA turn-based puzzler sequel to Fireproof Lumberjack, control the titular lumberjack in his efforts to stop the forest from burning down entirely. So that he can cut it down later. For money.

Click on a forest to cut it down. If you don't want to cut down any trees (why?), you can press space to just let time pass. The game ends when the fire has claimed as much of the forest as it can, and your score is calculated off of how successful you were as a Fireproof Lumberjack.

With over 2 billion map configurations possible, and an innovative "random seed chooser," you can share your high scores with your friends and challenge them to beat you! Never-ending fun!

Felt like making this, dunno why. About a hundred instances of El Loco Dumas (Yellow Runner) jog across your screen while pulsing up and down to upbeat music and a seizure-inducing background. Requires hardware-accelerated DirectX 8 and a screen resolution over 1280x800. If too many people are on cobweb-collecting antiques can't run the demo, guess I'll upload a less extravagant software-rendered version. Made using MMF2.

P.S. Hold Spacebar for more Dumas (over 500!).

Beep Boop, what up?

The Klik of the Month Klub meets right HERE on this very website on the third Saturday of every month for a two hour game making Showdown. Today it's 6:30 Eastern Standard Time. Everyone who participates gets two hours to create something from scratch in Klik & Play, or whatever. Abusing the stock objects is encouraged. Two hours is a pretty tight time limit, though, so choose wisely! ;-)

Happy Soos's birthday, everybody! To celebrate, have this, an unfinished Gravity Falls twine game I started for Yuletide one year. It's about Stan and Mabel and Dipper and their crummy made-up holiday. It's an unfinished piece of junk, but I decided to upload it anyway because, well, because...

Emily Short hosted a game jam recently called Bring Out Your Dead, where you uploaded long-dead WIPs and experiments in the hopes that someone else could learn from them. The concept really interested me, and since this was the most well-formed WIP I had that I'd likely never finish, I figured it wouldn't hurt to try something out with it. I took the old, unfinished game and added some commentary to it, usually to point out its flaws, but sometimes to discuss Gravity Falls for a bit (or point out a line I liked). It's a very short game, and probably would have been even if it were completed; I only completed one ending, and the other two branches cut off suddenly. Still, I hope you get something out of it, even if it's just "Don't do what I did here, kids."

(Sergio, my man: I have gotten your message, and while I haven't worked on my Knytt Swap lately, I'll probably block out some time for it next weekend. For reasons.)
