Twine macro: <<else if>>, an improvement to <<if>>

Update: This macro is now built into Twine 1.4! It is no longer necessary to install it.

This is not strictly a new macro, but a replacement version of the <<if>> macro. You might have noticed that nesting the <<if>> macro can get a bit messy:

<<if $fire eq "warm">>
The fire isn't hot yet.
<<else>>
<<if $medal eq "water">>
You medal protects you.
<<else>>
<<if $dead gt 0>>
Not again!
<<else>>
You died!
<<endif>>
<<endif>>
<<endif>>

The <<else if>> macro allows you to essentially have multiple <<if>> macros chained together, without needing to nest each of them within the <<else>> / <<endif>> tag pair of the other:

<<if $fire eq "warm">>
The fire isn't hot yet.
<<else if $medal eq "water">>
You medal protects you.
<<else if $dead gt 0>>
Not again!
<<else>>
You died!
<<endif>>

The macro code is here:
Obsolete script removed: use Twine 1.4

You might wonder why I chose "else if" instead of "elseif"... I guess my mind flipped a coin and the 'natural language' side shone upward.

If someone else has already developed a similar macro, as I suspect they might, then do tell.

Feel free to report any bugs to @webbedspace.

SUSEA (underwater adventure)

I put together a new game today... was just fooling around with the klik'n'software, so don't expect groundbreaking gameplay.

You control a little crab who is trying to piss off a big angry octopus.
Try not to die for a long time to get a good score.

Featuring a soundtrack and sinusoidal text galore!

Bitwise Geomancy

This game does not emulate actual Geomantic readings in any way.
While it may be possible to derive meaning through the playing of the game, these derivations would be unintentional.
This game is intended solely as a recreational tool.

Had the idea for this game when I was taking a class in Discrete Math. Only recently did I realize I had enough understanding of object oriented programming to make the game.

Had some troubles with java while making this. Somehow my java always ends up so messy. For future reference, most of the time when you want to distribute a java program, just put them in a jar and edit the manifest. No need to worry about packagers or whatever.

Works in everything that runs java. Just run the jar file as an executable.

UPDATE: Added a readme.

The box of Ice 2 J**Y K 2015

Okay, I couldn't get the embed to work, so I put a link here to give a good idea of what to expect using a collage of sorts: http://www.glorioustrainwrecks.com/files/icebox2k15.html Embedding tutorial I need I guess, but ah well.

So yeah, welcome (back?) to the icebox. Someone mentioned it and I initially had this event up and running in 2012 during november time, before all the bustle and hustle of life took over. I probably had a couple things in here that got moved to other events, but that's what an icebox is. It's a novelty freezer. It can stick around, or move about.

Uhh, it's ... back? I don't know if it'll inspire, but I figure instead of making a new event I could just modernize this one. So if the cool ascii logo and assortment of images aren't enough, there's the showcase of the former releases.

But yeah, I'm a culprit of moving my stuff around from event to event via the season

http://www.glorioustrainwrecks.com/files/gat.gif (gat's gif is a little fast so I'll hotlink it instead)

I also made a big COMMENT HERE http://www.glorioustrainwrecks.com/files/commenthere.gif gif file, but I trust if you have anything to say you'll scroll down and leave feedback if you wanted. Otherwise it's up to you. If you want to "sign up" for it for whatever reason, you can do that, I think? You know, for like posterity or something. I'll have it set to run in so and do Post stuff for it, move stuff to it, move stuff away from it. I'm not really picky/choosy or have a big agenda. I

I'll end it before the KOTM or even yield / preemptively end it earlier if something else of focus comes up, but yeah, enjoy!

24bpp in Klik & Play

Apparently you can't do it in VirtualBox with Windows XP as the guest. Anything else that can?

I'd consider DOSBox, but s3 24bpp support is spotty and very slow.

Another problem with KNP is that it flips red and blue channels when importing a 24-bit PCX.
