My first Platformer game. There is no objective, just glitches. I will be planning to make more versions of the game with way more levels. this is just a test. Hoping to keep the beginning intro out.
As a Kim Jong Il body double in a permanent kneel and flex it is your duty to destroy the alien invaders. DON'T SCREW IT UP.

So, I post here again. Don't ask why, just accept it.
I made something. It's not quite done yet, no sound, shit gfx and one or two bugs I suspect, as well as little balance in the score system, but we have the core of something here.
With this game, you are the little white ship in the bottom of the screen. You have to assemble a war machine for the mighty empire, so that they don't kill your dog or something. But the empire never turns these things off, so as you create it, it's going to shoot at you. Get it? It will make sense when you start playing it, don't worry.
Please be brutal in the comments. I'm not going to learn otherwise. Instructions are in-game.

I finally implemented a thing where a text file can be used as variables to load things in a game. I've wanted to do this for a while, but never had much reason to go through the tutorial. I'm putting the tutorial here so I can find it when I want to do this again in the future. I don't really know how to do it.

Dear All,
Ever since my last update I have been working on the game almost every day, encouraged by your comments. I have added a ton of new levels (and also deleted some unnecessary to make room for more among the 255 available), details and so on... I have also been working on the backstory, which I am afraid to say is getting darker and darker. Graphically I have started lately making more interiors,as you can see attached. But it really wore me out, especially that I have to incorporate more and more "action" elements which mean programming, failing, reprogramming without an end... So I will be taking a short break now and probably restart next year. I need a pause with these endless obstacles and also the everso more depressing narrative. But worry not, I love the project like a 3rd baby and will complete it for sure! It is just more exhausting than I initially thought it to be. As always, lots of pixellated love for you dear crazy computer peoples and keep creating!

This is a quick arena-type game featuring Saucer Sandy, a character from an old game of mine who is evidently down on her luck lately. At least she's got a new weapon to try out, though.
Score points by harmlessly blowing up your two friends and collecting desserts until you get tagged. But don't blow yourself up! That would be completely unconscionable.
Use the arrow keys to move and Space to drop mines.
