This is a simple game. Press CTRL to attack and SHIFT to jump. beware of traps! The making of this game brought me back to a better time, a time when i used to make games because - hell, it was made by me! - and the excitement of watching your first game go was fascinating, even if it was broken or clunky. it was made by me.
I think i lost the ability to love the simplier games over time and cared only about the gameplay, and i began to get really bored and uninterested with my games. well, i thought it was time to go back and restart from the begginning.

The bus Stopped and you find yourself in some kind of urban setting, can you find the five ticket shards needed to get to the train station?

CONTROLS

Here's the story: I was inspired by this comic, and its straight-faced presentation of whimsy and wonder. But I noticed that I'd already covered this sort of thing (somewhat) in Juni the Jiant, so I decided to try something slightly similar but in a different direction.

I'm not particularly pleased with this, but it's suitable as a prototype.

My (intellectual-chic) thesis (from spiced together twitter posts) on the work: "Interaction Poems: attempts to create a 'new grammar' for internet language, which, through interfaces such as twine, can exist iteratively.

Interaction Poem I is a new construction of the quotation mark; the artifice of iteration (time) creates new meanings."

Push the X button over and over to simulate tugging on the rope that operates the portcullis. Let in your countrymen! Don't go too fast or you'll lose stamina. Don't let it hold too long in one place, or it'll fall! And if you don't have enough stamina, you won't be able to catch it!

(This game is kind of broken, and I can't figure out how to fix the bug: If you jam on X forever, the portcullis will stay up, and it's not supposed to do that. Honor system?)

After an hour away, the problem occurred to me and I fixed it. Is this cheating? Kind of! But it's kind of actually a playable game now.
