Begin a Knytt Story for a week. Finish another Knytt Story for a week. The classic formula to Knytt Swapsies.

This is scheduled way off in the future (right now is April 3rd) as not to butt heads with the Rosetta Stone Game Jam, but hey, if you're interested, feel free to sign up. First part runs from May 25th to June 1st, and second part runs from June 1st to June 8th.

WEEK ONE IS GO WEEK TWO IS BEGIN!

Week 1 - 2018/5/25-2018/6/1
Participants work on levels. They get half-completed, then uploaded to this event in the comments. Or you can just keep it private, in which case it will be your responsibility to send it to the next person.

Week 2 - 2018/6/1-2018/6/8
Levels are randomly allocated to participants (through random.org). They get finished off, and submitted to this event as games.

Tips

• All skill levels and aesthetics are welcome! Seeing little relaxation zones transition into sprawling wallswim-ridden glitchscapes will probably be part of the fun (but matching tone is just as appreciated).
• Knytt Stories mods (KS+, KS Ex, etc.) and custom assets are very much allowed!
• Try to use less than 12 characters for the author field when creating your level, as there should be room for two and Knytt Stories only displays the first 25 characters.
• In week 2, add your author credit by putting " & [yourname]" after the existing author. You'll need to edit the folder name and the Author field in World.ini, and you could put more detailed credits in Info.png if you want.

And hey, maybe I'll participate in this too.

This is the next official version of the Oregon Trail!
No it isn't.

You are on a mission to traverse the Oregon Trail in order to claim some land in Oregon! Along the way, you'll face dreaded obstacles such as flowers, small rocks, and elephants. Watch out for diseases like cholera and dysentery, too! Press the space bar to shoot and the arrow keys to steer, most other things you'll need to know are mentioned in-game.

P.S. Real Life Mode is only put in the game as a joke, as it makes the amount of miles traveled increase 100 times slower than in Arcade Mode. So just play Arcade Mode. That's the real game. Or see how far you can get in Real Life Mode.

Hi all,
So, the server what hosts Glorious Trainwrecks Dot Com was compromised on December 16th, 2010. If you are interested in gory technical details, this guy had a very similar experience to mine.

Since this attack appears to have happened to a bunch of other servers, I have no reason to believe that we were targetted specifically. I don't even know if they did anything with root access, once they got it. I don't see much evidence, in the way of new files, that they did. Considering they were so sloppy about breaking in that they left the source code of their rootkit lying around and didn't clear my outgoing mail server's error logs when they broke it, I'm willing to believe that they didn't really care too much if their activities were discovered.

I do know that they broke our outgoing email, so new users trying to sign up did not receive their confirmation emails, and no one got mail reminding them about Klik of the Month. Investigating that was what led me to discovering this hack.

I have kicked the intruders off of my box, upgraded my system to patch the security holes they used to get in, and manually uninstalled the rootkit (which thankfully was pretty simple).

However, the lovely thing about rootkits is that you can't necessarily tell for certain what was done to you. So I don't know if they've snooped in our database to try and extract passwords, for example. Drupal 5's default password hashing scheme is miserable, and I regret not having set up an improved scheme before this happened. If you are security conscious, you may want to change your password, here and anywhere else you use the same password.

I am confident enough in my recovery that I am keeping the site up; however, moving the site to a clean server reinstalled from scratch is something I plan to attempt to do soon, for everyone's peace of mind.

tl;dr: Romanian script kiddies may or may not be trying to sell your password on the black market.

Made over about 1 day, a Museum full of terrifying things! Well.... Not THAT terrifying. Maybe some of it is a bit spooky, though.

There's a Ghost Train, and a couple of side rooms. There's a lot to explore and some things to interact with. Possibly the biggest Katelabs world to date(?) Definitley the biggest I've made, anyway. Also a really good showcase for some of the things it can do.
