I'm writing a telnet server for realtime online multiplayer ANSI gaming and game-creation. Realtime collaboration is so much easier when everything happens on the server, and it's so much easier for everything to happen on the server when it only has to worry about spitting out 80x25 character images. I'm almost done with the plumbing (parsing ANSI escape codes from a telnet stream, an internal representation of an ANSI screen, diffing two ANSI screens to minimize the amount of shit sent over the wire), and it should be pretty straightforward to port my Stackless Python game engine to use this new framework. Might this mean a textmode port of Hax0r?
Anyone want to contribute some sweet ANSI?
Ideas for scripting are welcome. I don't really think ZZT-OOP is the way to go (Goto-based programming! Brillant!); a more Klik & Play-style if-this-happens-then-do-this approach is probably better. I can expand on this if anyone is interested.
The silly, single player "4x" game set in a house!
This is perhaps inspired by The Haunted Mouse, and to an equal extent by WarioWare: Smooth Moves and WarioWare: Twisted!. Keep the rodent player-character from being zapped, even as your mouse controls are periodically rotated 90 degrees, requiring you to rotate your in-real-life mouse to compensate.
The Windows version works a bit better than the HTML5 version, insofar as the latter can't register the mouse's movement if the pointer drifts out of the screen region.
Something I made during Assemblee that I didn't want to enter into the contest (given the complete lack of interest in my ACTUAL entry I probably should have). It's a 2 player game with Player 1 (Sir PLONelot) using A and D to move left and right with W to jump, while Player 2 (Madame de PLONpadour) uses the left and right arrow keys with up to jump.
The concept was to have everything be used by the same sprite, however I've added an option to change the sprite used with the C button. Warning this may provide seizure inducing and/or game breaking side effects.
The gameplay revolves around not touching anything but your own PLON field and even then you have to crap out a new PLON block within a certain time or you lose.
Made with Game Maker 7 Lite.
Another dumb score thing. Shoot cow-men, but try not to fuck up the walls too bad~
Ryutaro Onigoro is back! This time, he's armed with a flaming sword and an extra jump. Help him get to the escape rope at the top of the forest. Kill enemies while in midair to gain more double jumps!
Jump: X
Sword: Z
(Sequel to Demon Forest)
An art game made by me, flaviusmaximus.
Play as footman as he tries to manage his life in a farcical way.
also, BEAUTIFUL MUSIC COMPOSED BY ME
Anyone who's played GALAGA '88 will know that the normal GALAGA "challenging stage" has been replaced with a bonus round that begins with the words "THAT IS GALACTIC DANCING"
My whole game is a stupid GALAGA '88 joke.
SURVIVE the duration of YOU & ME (LESS THAN ZERO) by GLENN DANZIG & THE POWER AND FURY ORCHESTRA
ALT+ENTER / Full Screen
Arrow keys / move
Space / Shoot
I repurposed Demon Kogure's sprite from Seikima II: Akuma no Gyakushuu for Famicom. Now he's a young devilocked Glenn.

YOU ARE THE GREATEST WARRIOR IN YOUR HOMETOWN,AND YOU MUST FACE THE ULTIMATE BEAST.

The Klik of the Month Klub meets right here on this very website on the third Saturday of every month at 4pm Pacific Time (taking daylight savings into consideration) for a two hour Klik & Play Showdown. Everyone who participates gets two hours to create something from scratch in Klik & Play. Abusing the stock objects is encouraged. If you really loathe Klik & Play you can use whatever game development platform you want. Two hours is a pretty tight time limit, though, so choose wisely!
Klik & Play is absolutely free to download, and learning it takes minutes, so everyone can get in on the action.
