Use your mouse to control the speed of the fire. Every time fire strikes a Globa (those flashing squares) you lose points. Every time a Globa makes it the far side of the screen, you gain points.

This is a game based on the idea of "Qix as bondage". Separate the torso, busy hands and frisky feet of this woman (whose name I just decided is Demi) by drawing ropes between the bed's bars. If her hands or feet hit a rope before you've finished placing it, you'll lose it! Be nimble.

Although its inception came about by thinking of Qix, it owes more to Jezzball (or rather, the Macintosh's Jezzball clone Barrack) in its mechanics. And I guess it has some thematic similarities to Trusty Assistant?

The phrase "Indra's Net" is an Immortal Defense reference more than anything.

The HTML5 build has less robust collision detection and isn't recommended compared to the Windows build.

Dear Glorious Trainfriends,

This time I do not have screenshots from Poor Thing to share with you. I have something better! A video presenting it in action! I think it starts to look good, but judge for yourselves. My video editing tool did something horrible with compression, but you can still see what the game is about. I tried to present the things I am most proud of: the Merry Berry minihotel, scrolling levels, floor tiles adjusting to scrolling, some shadows and 3d grass (only in the 1st level but will be implemented overall). I hope you like it! I work on it nearly every day and had a sleepless night sometime ago when I put a lot of things together so I have the backstory also more advanced. Ok, enough, enjoy, and tell me hwat you think!

You are a proud Longshoreman, born and raised in the city of 1950s Boston, where dreams are made and hearts are broken. You work the city's ports, a dangerous, laborious task that can only be undertaken by a real man's man. Work is scarce, and you've got mouths to feed, along with a weary wife at home who depends on you. Deliver the cargo from the docks to Local Union Chapter 593, a Longshoreman's Union owned by a corrupt yet just executive who has the whole town under his thumb. Dodge local lawmen and elegant gunslinging mafiosos; explode TNT and kill cops with stray bullets to make your life easier; grind out your measly comeuppance, day after day. Skin grown hard as leather in the jungles of these docks. Smell the salt on the wind, look up at that clear blue sky, and wonder -- will I ever make it out of this rat race we call the American Dream? Oh lord have mercy -- I can't be ground down like this forever in this hell of rust and iron. Visions of your family come to you, almost angelic in the early morning light. Your run-down hovel in the Irish Block -- is this all you have to show for your grueling work? Is this really all you can give them? But it's 6:00, and you can hear the horns -- the ships coming into harbor. No time for pondering, it's time to get to work. So get at em, cowboy -- we can find a million other FOB micks who would gladly take your place.

It's pong, except the ball contains a second game of pong. Scoring a goal in either game awards you a point and resets that ball only. First to ten wins. The outer layer has a few special rules (can influence the ball's path by hitting it with a moving paddle, and the ball's velocity increases with every paddle hit up to a maximum speed) that the inner layer does not. Note that the two games aren't one-to-one representations of each other and very quickly get de-synced.

Not entirely sure if I played a game like this before. Was fun to make regardless.

Player 2: Up/Down

Edit:
- Fixed a silly bounds error that prevented the inner paddles and ball from moving in the entire outer ball.
- Fixed an asymmetry in the paddle positions.
- Added a short delay before either ball starts moving at the beginning of the game.
