A simple one-button, two-player fighting game, inspired by the multiplayer minigames from the original WarioWare where two players could play simultaneously on the same Gameboy.
JumpFight your opponent into submission! Press "Z" to jump as Player One, "M" to jump as Player Two. Each player has three health, and loses health when hit by the opponent. Attack your opponent by running into them harder than they run into you!
FEATURING:
-Twenty-one action filled battles!
-A thunderous midi soundtrack!
-A honest to god SHITTY brainfart impro dialogue because I only assed to write a small part of it.
-You making disgruntled facial expressions at the aforementioned dialogue!
-Fun times!
-Hope that it becomes funnier over time like all of my joke shit.
After nearly six months of on-and-ridiculously-off development,
I've finally finished something I didn't think I would.
It was all supposed to go down with that last joke game,
but it turns out that I still needed to be taught a lesson.
Get out there and finish the fight!! THIS IS THE LAST TIME!!!!
This was supposed to push the limits of KNP to the maximum with absolutely ludicrous
battle mechanics, unlike Kung Fu 2, which was pretty much about dodging flying shit
and mashing the attack button. I tried to go there, but neither of us couldn't handle it.
Instead what I have now is practically the same with more shit.
And the fucking thing still rules.
What are you waiting for?!
Overall, I learned some:
Patience
Mental Shenanigans
Drawing Consistency, so it's not really all a waste no matter what.
So, PurpleChair, TheCube, squidlarkin and I all met up last night for beer and game-related conversation, which was totally awesome and inspiring and great. While I was watching PurpleChair and squidlarkin duke it out in BlazBlue, I was thinking about how to make a more accessible fighting game. Clearly the need to learn and perfect arcane joystick moves to pull off special moves and combos was out. And clearly it was too hard to learn which moves would be effective when. I figured I wanted to make a game which was purely about trying to predict your opponent's next move within a fraction of a second.
So this morning on the bus I fired up Construct and made Rapid-Fire Rock Paper Scissors. You play Rock Paper Scissors against a friend twice per second, every second. (The speed is adjustable for the hardcore.)
The message in the KotMB event in case you didn't read it for some reason:
I KNOW THERE'S A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF STUFF SO IT'S OBVIOUS I WENT OVER THE TIME LIMIT, BY OVER 24 HOURS, BUT THE GAME ORIGINATED FROM THIS KOTMB AND I CBA TO POST IT ANYWHERE ELSE I DONT CARE ITS THE BEST GODDAMN GAME EVER
I got absolutely no ideas over the weekend so I did a sequel to one of my pk2 games.
From there it took about three seconds before I veered off the road, but when I came back, I brought the whole fucking circus with me.
GET READY!!
Remember to take your losses like a man.
Be sure to check out the full title screen.
Also a threequel is planned which will feature Proper A.I.™ for enemies (no more shooting shit around randomly) and being able to attack in directions other than right + many more things to come!
left player use WASD
right player use arrow keys
score hits by making your tongue long, block hits by making your tongue short, try to force your opponent off the screen to win the kiss!
inspired by theresa, who is pretty.
sorry this is over time! I was adding lovely polish for you all <3
Play-fighting at it's finest. Hit the other guy of the stage! Victory dance! Repeat! For 1 or 2 players.
US vs. Europe in the fight of the century! Can you go the distance? This Cold War just got HAWT.
(two player only)
