(Inspired by the recent surge of spam posts)

Make games based on this spam post:

Lahm and his fellow Germans surrounded certainly best to cheap fifa coins get the top prize in the world of football in Brazil. The intriguing Bayern fondly remembers the last seconds at Maracana, even if they were unbearable at the time.

"I will play and watch football for a long time and everything that happened in recent times, so it really yearn for the final whistle," the end of the 2014 World Cup against Argentina Lahm "he said. Led 1-0 at the end of the extension, do you just want to blow the whistle. He was incredibly relieved when it was over, leaving everything that has happened with the national team in recent years, bitter defeats occurred. Two hours after the final whistle is the wonderful time with colleagues and staff to carpool with sell fifa coins you party for the last ten years, which is unforgettable. "

Any game you make for this has to be less than a minute long. make as many as possible, and make them as bad as possible.

Hyperspace Delivery Boy

Hyperspace Delivery Boy, by Monkeystone Games, is something of a glorious trainwreck. Starring a young boy named Guy Carrington (whom I have lovingly decided to nickname "Fetchy McQuest"), you must navigate through the cargo bay of a spaceship, the catwalks of an alien dungeon, box pushing challenges, and, if I'm not mistaken, occasional graphics ripped from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Prepare your ears for an onslaught of catchy nonsensical phrases voiced by tremendously amateur actors, as well as the wonderfully out of place squawking of a chicken. All this and more on your quest to find and give people the things that they want!

Now, taken out of context, Hyperspace Delivery Boy isn't really that glorious of a trainwreck -- it seems much more like the usual kind of derailing that happens in high schools and colleges around the globe. However, if you happen to take a peek at the names of the all-star cast behind it, the gloriousness becomes readily apparent. Oh how the mighty have fallen (or at least stumbled a bit a few years ago).

Unfortunately only the demo seems to be available; attempting to take the steps necessary to acquire the full game leads one to a website of questionable taste.

PAX Quest

paxquest.png

I attended PAX this year! As part of my devious plan to spread the Glorious Trainwrecks way of game-makering, I put aside an hour to set up a laptop in a vaguely low-traffic area with an attractive sign promising people that I would make games for them. I quickly got a taker, who sat down and chatted with me for about an hour as I made PAX Quest In Glorious Klik-O-Vision! Many other people looked and smiled -- one guy even stopped to say he liked my sign -- but no one else stopped to see what I was doing. It may or may not have had something to do that I was mostly looking at my computer and there was a dude sitting beside me, presumably getting a game made. (Turned out he was a Mac user so he won't be able to play it.)

In conclusion: Fun experiment! Mixed results. Afterwards my legs hurt.

Oh, the game? PAX Quest is a fairly accurate representation of some of the more annoying portions of PAX. I resisted the temptation to make waiting in line real-time.

05/21/2011 - 16:00
05/21/2011 - 18:00
Etc/GMT-7

The Klik of the Month Klub meets right here on this very website on the third Saturday of every month at 4pm Pacific Time (taking daylight savings into consideration) for a two hour Klik & Play Showdown. Everyone who participates gets two hours to create something from scratch in Klik & Play. Abusing the stock objects is encouraged. If you really loathe Klik & Play you can use whatever game development platform you want. Two hours is a pretty tight time limit, though, so choose wisely!

Klik & Play is absolutely free to download, and learning it takes minutes, so everyone can get in on the action.

Want to talk to your fellow Klikwreckers? Join us on IRC -- server irc.freenode.net, channel #glorioustrainwrecks. We've also got a Mumble voice chat server -- just connect to glorioustrainwrecks.com using Mumble and you can talk to us like real human beings! Join the mayhem!

After you've made your game, you should upload it here!

For more information, check out the KotM N00B FAQ.

Sign up below if you want to get reminded by email the day before the klikkening begins!

Sad statistic

So, I recently installed some software which analyzes the site's access logs and generates pretty graphs and tells me how people find Glorious Trainwrecks. I'd like to share a finding with you all. Here is a screenshot of the list of search queries, sorted by frequency, used to find the site for the month of June so far:

Thanks a lot, dessgeega.
