You are locked on a circle. Travel around it, clockwise and counterclockwise. Shoot enemies, and dodge them.
Made for pirate kart v.
The year: 1718 A.D.
The location: the high seas.
You play as the ever scurvy pirate "Bleckbeard" in his quest to avoid being soaped up by any form of bubble! He has toiled for decades to keep that grime grafted onto his skin, and he isn't going to let some dastardly rain cloud destroy his quest to be the dirtiest pirate in the sea! Avoid every bubble that Bubbles the Cloud (tm) unleashes on the deck of the ship. Soundtrack by Linkin Park.
Highly self-referential hypertext game and diary entry.
I made this instead of going to bed. (I should add that as a choice)
Made in Increpare's TinyChoice engine.

EVERYTHING is described in the game.
This is an old game that predates the current GT submission system. I am reuploading it so that all my GT games will show up on this page: https://www.glorioustrainwrecks.com/games/*/sylvie
Cactus Block is a "gambling platformer". Use WASD to move, and click to place either a cactus or a block. You don't know which one it will be. Press R to restart the level if you get stuck or fall off the bottom.
In 2013, I made a remake of this game with added features called Cactus Block 2013. You can download that here: http://love-game.net/cactus.zip
Move to the right to complete the levels. Double jumping, save states, stopping immediately and charging are your special abilities (up, s, x, c respectively). But they'll cost you a coin each use.
This is a topic for discussing and planning Glorious Trainwrecks-related events, box socials, hoedowns, dramatic recitals, etc. Rally the troops! I got two things to put forth.
THING THE FIRST:
Is there interest in making the Ladies' Auxiliary a regularly scheduled event? It'd be cool to have an official alternative Klik for the differently-time zoned (with a bit of advance warning, unlike the last two!) It could be held on a two-week offset from the vanilla KotM, to space it out for the keen and sleepless who want to hit up both.
(Incidentally, can all users post events? I AM DISCONNECTED FROM THE PROLETARIAT.)
THING THE SECOND:
Next weekend is motherfriggin' HALLOWEEKEND. Consequently, I am planning to squat in the IRC channel and hammer out as many games as I can over a 48-hour period while simultaneously drinking and/or crying in the bathtub. WILL YOU JOIN ME IN MY QUEST?

Wow, another Sylvie game. This one has audio by my friend Hubol and was made for Ludum Dare 44.
