Within a Dream

dream-screen.png
Game File:

Made for One Hour Game Jam #222. I don't typically post my 1HGJ games here individually, but I felt like doing it for this one. My computer froze and had to be rebooted mid-way through development, which made the creation process slightly longer and more stressful.

This game makes use of CC0 photographs by Ferenc Keresi & katja, and modified CC0 sounds by AudioEnabled. I drew the bed and the protagonist by hand at the start of the jam!

17 Years.

First game except for some messing around with a disk copy of Game Maker I found when I was like, 9. Could definitely be called a trainwreck.

Made in Klik and Play, and I probably messed some things up with saving/uploading whatever so I'd be happy to change anything needed!

three dimensions

i had a goal of wanting to play every game on g.t. from the beginning of 2018 until i couldn't do it anymore. lol. i started off well, but then kinda faltered.

so i realized that i'm playing all of the 3d games, but not all of the 2d games. !!

one of my favourite things about videogames is being able to experience a place that cannot exist in real life. having a first person perspective is the best way to achieve immersion (imo), so i prefer that.. but also, it's because i just love all of the stuff that comes with 3d: polygons, lighting, shadows, draw distance (i actually like that lol), etc. of course 2d can do that too! this also means, typically, that i prefer 2.5d over 2d.

i don't know why, but representing 3d on a screen is just the coolest thing to me. and it's not always about realism, i just really really really gravitate toward it for reasons i don't understand.

my favourite style is low poly. it's definitely not because of nostalgia. i think more abstract designs with less detail affects me more viscerally than anything realistic. this early castlevania 64 model is what i'm talking about, i still think about how eerie it is once in awhile, ever since the day i saw it in egm or whatever!

what's funny is that most of my art in school was 2d, i couldn't really work well in 3d, i'm not good with my hands. but i'm just really obsessed with 3d, though there's plenty of rad cool 2d stuff out there!

Juni in the Haunted House

haunted info.png

Whoo! I am so glad to be done with this level.

Anyway, this is an old level of mine from way back (like, 2010 back) that I decided to finish up for Knytt of the Month Klub. Except that I went two days into overtime, but okay. Anyway, the basic gist of it is, Juni must explore a haunted house in order to learn its secrets. And get keys, endings, and junk. And that's all I'll say about it for now. If you see any bugs, please let me know, as I didn't test this level as thoroughly as I could have.

knp lib graphics anyone please?

So I'm lacking all the cool knp graphics like evil face, those space stations and so on. I guess they only come with the CD version of knp and not the school version I've got. Could someone please provide those libs? Thanks a lot.
